I am gluten intolerant and finding gluten free options can sometimes be difficult, especially in a foreign country. I went to Zuni for my last meal in Israel with a friend from my tour group. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable (also spoke perfect English), and double checked with the kitchen about whether the meal was gluten free just to be... More

We have been to Zuni many times on different trips over the years. The menu has not changed but it is varied, reasonably priced and very well prepared. Zuni is almost the only restaurant open in the Jewish/tourist sector of Jerusalem during the Jewish sabbath, so be sure to book for a Friday evening.

Good burgers, rare place in Jerusalem where you can eat hot meat in late hours. Moderate prices, close to Old city Jaffa gates.

There are so many restaurants in this area that it's hard to find a good one. This was recommended to us by two local store clerks. We went for lunch in the afternoon and it wasn't crowded but I have a feeling it might be packed at night. They had a good variety of food - Italian, American and Israeli... More

though the menu is not wide enough, the food and deserts are great! the place is open 24/7 (or at least that's what I know) which makes it a great great non-kosher place to visit any time.

We were seated around 18.45 and the list of dishes sold out was so long, we couldn't remember half of it, when deciding what to order. We ended up with salmon, French fries, eggplant, root salad and roasted tomatoes. Everything was great and recommendable and actually worth 4 stars. Especially the Apple martinis we had with the food. The only... More

It's probably a good thing this place exists, even if it's not the most distinctive food in Jerusalem. It's more of an "international" menu, so somewhat of a more generic experience. I had a lamb-burger and fries, and they were good. It's apparently open 7x24, critically including the Sabbath when most other places in West Jerusalem are closed. I arrived... More

If you want to get a decent steak (the animal should not die twice: once under the knife and once through the kosherizing process) in the holiest city in Israel, go to Zuni. The rest of their dishes can be hit or miss.
