It's probably a good thing this place exists, even if it's not the most distinctive food in Jerusalem. It's more of an "international" menu, so somewhat of a more generic experience. I had a lamb-burger and fries, and they were good. It's apparently open 7x24, critically including the Sabbath when most other places in West Jerusalem are closed. I arrived... More

If you want to get a decent steak (the animal should not die twice: once under the knife and once through the kosherizing process) in the holiest city in Israel, go to Zuni. The rest of their dishes can be hit or miss.

the food is just awful. the soup was watered down, the steak was one of to worst I evere had - it was defrosted and simply disgusting - and many courses were missing from the menu (altough, condidering the dishes that did arrive, this may have been an advantage). to top everything, when we complained the waitress told us we... We've now lived in Jerusalem for over a month. We have visited some good restaurants in the time we've been here. Zuni is my new favorite. Here's why: 1. They are open on Shabbat 2. They are not kosher. (explains #1) This might not be a plus for some, but I enjoyed having goat cheese on my burger. I like... More

I've read that this restaurant is a bit strange because they don't serve many dishes that they have in the menu, and it was quite true. However, the ones that were available, in my case - pumpkin soup and chicken breast with zucchini - were absolutely marvelous. The waitress was also very sweet, it was a real pleasure to meet... This is a great place to eat if you are looking for non kosher in Jerusalem. I had the chicken sandwich and side salad. The sandwich was OK, I though it was a bit bland. Others in the party of 14 had a range of meals and everyone enjoyed their choices. Service was great!

we've been to Zuni a number of times and every time it's been delicious. the staff is gracious. the food is better than good. the surroundings comfortable (we go for an early dinner so as to avoid crowds). and supporting the non-kosher, open on Shabbat establishments make it even better!
