Great Family Restaurant

My family and another, nine people in total, visited Tat and liked it. The food was good, and the wait staff was very nice and accommodating. While the food was good I would not call it exemplary. Our tour group had dinner here, which we all enjoyed very much. The bread and kabobs were delicious, along with the salted yogurt drink served in individual bowls with ladles. Definitely try the lamb and chicken kabobs.

This was the greeting we received everytime we came to Tat- it felt so sincere that we felt it was a home away from home. My husband and I came here with another couple our first night in Selcuk, a stormy night causing the whole town to lose power. We were welcomed in from the storm, given hot tea and... More

Amazing fresh lavash served as a 'free' appetizer. The steamy puffed bread made my kids happy. The menu is conventional, but were all prepared very well and fresh. The staff were helpful. We are vegetarian and ate at Edjer and Cabare, but this was the best by far.

Nice little restaurant. They are listed as vegetarian, and they do have a significant selection of vegetarian food. The best choices we found are mezes or cold appetizers, as well as the omelettes. My daughter said her cheese omelette was delicious. We had acili kisir, imam bayildi, humus, baked mushrooms, all were delicious, especially the mushrooms. In addition, the atmosphere... More

Had lunch and dinner at the Tat. The food was very good and the service was pleasant. The owner came and chatted with us answering lots of questions about Selcuk and Turkey in general.

One of the best places we've eaten at in Turkey. Service is always prompt & friendly, and food are excellent. It's spacious & well-lit, which feels very inviting for tourists like us.

My first experience at Tat Restaurant..Selcuk was September 2014... The warm family welcome I received was fantastic.. The food was super and all homemade. . Tat Restaurant is a family run business which makes Tat all the more amazing. .and very rare nowadays. .. The atmosphere is just like being at home in your own dining room..great food...wonderful conversation. .and... More

We ate at a few other places during our stay in Selcuk but kept coming back here, simply because the food was far, far better than anywhere else. The home-made pitas are really special, also the meat ball stew (- the name of which reminded me of school dinners. Fortunately, the was no resemblance!) Importantly for us (in January) the... More

Located on a pleasant, walking street in the rather charming, pedestrian friendly city center of Selcuk, TAT offers a wide variety of traditional Turkish fare, including a very taste pide. It's great fun savoring their offerings while seated amidst the bustle of the strolling passers-by. The owners are lovely and attentive. The location is great, just blocks from the train... More
