Great hospitality and food

We stayed at Ali baba's guesthouse, and were so glad we made the trip to his kebab house too! We had the meze platter to start and could not stop mentioning how good it was! Very good standard Turkish fare. Done well but best of all is the proprietor who is genuine and really friendly. The location is pleasant and convenient to the museum and their associated guest house.

We went to the Ali Baba restaurant in July 2014 with high expectations based on good reviews. We were disappointed for a number of  reasons: First impressions count and although the greeting was warm, the menu locked worn and tatty.  I ordered the bream and my partner some mixed spicy shish kebabs. Both appeared  with a large serving of cold... More

Super delicious kebabs with outdoor seating on a quiet street. The owners are very friendly and even gave us some free baklava at the end of the meal.

This restaurant has a lot of good reviews so we were excited to go there. The staff were very friendly but the kebab I had was not very tasty so I was pretty disappointed with the food. For less than half the price you can get a better kebab in the marketplace.

Nice sit out right next to the ephesus museum. The host explained and recommended dishes. Loved the baked aubergines and the mezze platter.

The Gozleme was to die for esp the meat one. Loved the thin pastry. The meze plate was absolutely fantastic. The chocolate gozleme style dessert is a must try as well. They offered free hot drinks. Prices are very reasonable. Alibaba, Mehmet and family were the friendliest people- fantastic service!

Fabulous fresh food, with great friendly and efficient service. Definitely worth visiting, even better if you are staying at Alibaba's Guesthouse. Also and his family work very hard, and are most welcoming.
