we came after a long day at ephesus followed by miletus and didyma i was somewhat grumpy and not too enthusiastic after walking thru the darkened market to what looked like a deserted restaurant but the selection of mezes and meats soon changed my mind and we had an excellent meal, finishing with baklava topped with a generous portion of... The adventure of finding this place took us into a less touristed area and to an unexpected Turkish folk music show, making for a wonderfully authentic evening. Overall the food was very good, but the mezes were to die for!

Very pleasant, simple restaurant where the locals obviously eat. Semi-buffet style. Go up and point and discuss what they have and it's all brought to you. We wanted to try a bit of almost everything, so they adjusted the portions accordingly, which was nice. The lamb looks too thin to be good on the grill, but it was cooked perfectly.... More

My wife, three children and I, hired a tour guide to take us to see Ephesus and the surrounding sites. Our tour guide recommended this restaurant and judging by the number of locals, we could see that this was a favorite. You order at the counter where you can select what you would like from the display where there are... More

We scheduled a great private tour for 4 with Ephesus Shuttle and our guide took us here for lunch. It seemed to be mostly locals here, few tourists. Our group went to the "deli counter" and chose five salads to share, including one yogurt base and another with mostly tomatoes and cucumbers. All five salads were wonderful but then our... More

Fantastic flavours and just honest to goodness good Turkish food. Attentive and friendly staff and reasonably priced. Rated in "Where Chef's Eat" and for good reason too. I would like one in my neighbourhood as I would be there every week!

We selected this restaurant from a review in Lonely Planet, and were very impressed by the efficient and friendly service, the delicious kofte and very tasty (and varies) salads. This fantastic lunch cost 42 TL for 2, by far the best value of any restaurant so far in Turkey. If you are going to Ephesus, lunch or dine here!

We had a lovely, comfortable meal at this pa + ma restaurant in Selcuk. He does the meats, she does the veggies. Relaxed, pleasant, enough English spoken, and warmly welcoming. Highly recommended.

Meatball is served with fresh vegies, tomeato and onion slices. It's delicious and size of the dish is good to feed one peson. I strongly reccomend you to taste lamb sish. Meet is soft and leaves a great test on your tongue. Homemade plump juice is my favorite.

The Selcuk Koftecisi makes the best kofte (Turkish meatballs) ever! They also do chicken shish and a choice of vegetarian dishes like spinach, piyaz (white beans in vinegar - one of my favourites), aubergine fritters and taze fasulye (green beans in a tomato sauce) The staff are friendly and prompt, service is excellent. I lived in Selcuk for 6 years... More
