Magnificent View and delicious meal

I have been to Ulus 29 several times, and I was always satisfied. The setting is very upscale and the view of Bosphorus is magnificant. The prices are not low but its worth it. My Favorite dishes are their meatballs and all of the starters.

During my stay in Istanbul we visited many rooftop restaurant and bars, But none compare to Ulus 29 for the view... It is truly breathtaking as you watching a panoramic view of the Bosphorus from the top of a hill. Coming to the restaurant experience itself... The food is a combination of some good and great times. I would recommend... More

The location on the hill top is fantastic with great views. Best to come 1-2 hours before sunset so that you can experience the place both during day light and night time. Recommend to book a week in advance and ask to have a table as close to the front row as possible for the best views. The service was... More

One of the must places to eat and visit in Istanbul. When I went it was chilly and a perfect weather not too hot not too cold. We got a good table outside in the open overlooking the river and skyline. Get a reservation before going to skip the wait. Ask them for a table near the end. Or it... More

we were 6 people having dinner at this resturant. The views of the Canal from the hill were amazing. Here is my review: 1. Excellent food quality 2. Amazing views 3. very good service Cons: 1. As with most establishments, staff needs to learn to smile 2. might be tricky to find

Staying in Besiktas

Neighborhood Profile
Besiktas
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighborhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
