We had lunch there. Just after we sat, the waiter poured water for all of us (4) before we could discover how much they charge for a large bottle. And I don't think the bottle was sealed before the water was poured. My lunch was practically tasteless and I was shocked to see that we were charged 12 lira for... More

We rate this restaurant highly. We have here only one dinner because we want to test other ones. But this dinner was fantastic. From the traditional Turkish pancakes to the lamb shish kebab - soooooo good. The fried fish also was picant. They served different Mezes - traditional starters. Also we highly reccomend you lochmadjun - traditional turkish pizza.

We stopped at this restaurant for a light meal due to its proximity to attractions and the "tripadvisor" and "lonely planet" stickers that were ostentatiously displayed on their window. However, the food and customer service were disappointing and overpriced. A young couple at a neighboring table were disputing the charges on their bill -- 15% service charge and charges for... More

We selected many different dishes from the menu over a number of days as the restaurant is in the hub of a number of historical sites, and the food was consistently excellent. The salads are particularly good and very well presented (a salad with pomegranate and walnut is outstanding). The Turkish "pizza" served hot is a bargain and the pittas... More

We sat outside and enjoyed fast friendly service. The food was good and also timely. Location is also very nice as it is near many of the attractions in Sultanahmet.

From the outside the restaurant looks average, so I was surprised when my wife, typically governed by aesthetics, suggested we eat here. She was going on the suggestions from a guide book. I was equally as surprised by the quality of the food. We started with a meze that was a flavorful concoction of walnut, olive oil and spices. I... More

My husband and I went to this restaurant on our last night in Istanbul. Few things to note 1. unexpected service charge, which would have been okay if it was deserved, but service provided was very poor 2. Nothing comes for free, even the bread. Which they gladly offered without any request 3. Over priced, compared to what we had around... More

We went there a little late at night. With the restaurant being so close to the Sultan Ahmet Mosque and Hagia Sophia, we assumed we would get something truly exceptional. Honestly, by comparison to other places we had already been in Istanbul (check my previous reviews) it felt pretty substandard, especially when you consider the amount of money that we... More
