Subtle Turkish cooking, not just another plate of kebab. Highly recommended. Lovely service, not too expensive
It's hard to feel that you are eating "real food" in a tourist area but Pasazade manages to offer a good dining experience in the middle of Istanbul's premier tourist quarter. We enjoyed it so much we ate there twice. Service is excellent and the menu is varied. If you look on their website there is a historical explanation linked... More
We loved this place so much we went back twice in a week long visit to Istambul. The food was lovely, service was great, pioces very affordable and the views were fantastic. wish this were closed to home.
When staying in Sultanahmet, sometimes it seems that all of the restaurants are the same -- average tourist fare. Pasazade is a remarkable step up both in terms of excellent service as well as in delicious food. We enjoyed a mezze platter for luncheon that was worth a return trip to Turkey just to have another!
Although aimed at tourists, the ottoman-style food here was excellent and quite reasonably priced too. As with everywhere in Istanbul however, alcohol is quite expensive compared to the food. I particularly recommend the lamb with thyme which was exceptionally good. The service was also attentive without being over the top. Definitely reserve a table beforehand if going in peak season.
This felt very upmarket, the food wasbeautifully prepared fine Turkish cuisine at a very reasonable price. Would definately recommend.
My wife and I came here our first night in Istanbul. We wanted a convenient and good Turkish meal. We had a mezze platter, a few glasses of Turkish red wine, lamb and beef entrees with savory fruit sauces, and a dessert sampler. This was not the kebab and pide sort of Turkish food most places back in NYC serve... More
We started with their mixed Ottoman meze which was excellent- best we have had in Turkey- great quality and range. There were 5 of us, and we had 4 different mains- lamb in apricots was particularly good, as were the beef saultan's morsels. Everything we had was excellent - it was recommended by the hotel and it paid off! Thoroughly... More
We was sure where to go for lunch and were in the middle of the street looking to see where can go. A english couple walking past us heard us and said there is a great place over there so we went.... Just in front of the restaurant we was greated by the wonderful waiters who were all cheerful and... More
We had a great time here for an early dinner after a long day at the Topkopi Palace and Archaeologic Museum. Lots and lots of choices in the area and we feel like we made one of the best. Interesting dishes - purporting to be Ottoman, great service, and an attractive dining room all made for a good experience. One... More
