Atmosphere is enchanting - food excellent - service outstanding. This restaurant was 2 blocks from our hotel, Yasmak Sultan. My wife and I walked by here almost every day and the waiters came to know us and were always friendly but not pushy. We ate their two of our 8 evenings and both dinners were fantastic.

We booked Pasazade online before arriving in Istanbul having read excellent reviews from a number of sources. Located in the heart of the city and on the tourist trail this restaurant is a must visit. The restaurant is part of the recently refurbished Hotel Erboy. Although I used to avoid restaurants attached to hotels... Pasazade is a perfect example of... More

The atmosphere is excellent - every detail shows that this place is run with a lot of love and care. Very relaxing, just off the busy area. It's a small restaurant with a great choice of lovely looking and delicious smelling dishes, mostly vegetarian. Most of them I've seen only here - really a nice change from the usual traditional... The restaurant is not far from the palace. The food was delicious and the service was top class. The lamb was really nicely cooked and the lentil soup was very smooth. The price was a lot lower than what had expected in a restaurant with a good atmosphere. Excellent value for money!

Subtle Turkish cooking, not just another plate of kebab. Highly recommended. Lovely service, not too expensive

It's hard to feel that you are eating "real food" in a tourist area but Pasazade manages to offer a good dining experience in the middle of Istanbul's premier tourist quarter. We enjoyed it so much we ate there twice. Service is excellent and the menu is varied. If you look on their website there is a historical explanation linked... More

When staying in Sultanahmet, sometimes it seems that all of the restaurants are the same -- average tourist fare. Pasazade is a remarkable step up both in terms of excellent service as well as in delicious food. We enjoyed a mezze platter for luncheon that was worth a return trip to Turkey just to have another!

Although aimed at tourists, the ottoman-style food here was excellent and quite reasonably priced too. As with everywhere in Istanbul however, alcohol is quite expensive compared to the food. I particularly recommend the lamb with thyme which was exceptionally good. The service was also attentive without being over the top. Definitely reserve a table beforehand if going in peak season.
