Keen on a cover charge and a ten per cent service charge on top? Reassured by being charged per kilo for a fish before it is filleted and served? Then this place is for you. Like being transported back in time they need to drag this restaurant into the 21st century. Your bill will be rather more than you may... More

Not far from the City on the shore of the Bosphorus is Park Fora. Set in parkland and sitting on the sea you are free to gulp in the air and watch the ships and ferries go by under your very nose. The fish of the day are very attractively laid out as you enter and really do get your... More

Park Fora came highly recommended so were excited about the location and views over the Bosporus. The food was reasonable and the service friendly but the fish was way overpriced! I could not believe the price for a kg of grilled perch - nearly $150AUD - crazy! I felt ripped off. on top of that they made an error with... More

I took a scorpionfish prepared with vegetables...very good and a good saivignon blanc from Kavaklidere Turkey...price for fish (1.1kg) was 100 euro and for the wine was 65 euro...I rate 4 star this restaurant with a unbelievable view...close to the restaurant is the Savarona vessel...who belongs to the turkish Presidency (even president Ataturk was sail with Savarona)

The location and seating is fantastic, the food is small portions and so over priced its nuts, there are much better deals in Istanbul over this place, 2 people wine and fish $250

Staying in Besiktas

Neighborhood Profile
Besiktas
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighborhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
