If you wish to taste the Ottoman Cuisine after your Topkapi Palace tour I highly recommend you to stop in Konyali. Besides the tasty food the view you have while eating is one of the best. No wonder why they are always busy.

I had eaten here last November, and was surprised at: 1. How much i liked the food 2. How long i spent just relaxing, eating and enjoying my lunch I figured it was just a rush from Topkapi, the fabulous sights and the great day i was having-usually, i power through a quick bite and am back on my feet.... This restaurant has drop dead gorgeous views of the Bosphorus. We sat at the full service restaurant and had attentive and outstanding service all the while looking at the opulent views. We had asked the waiters for food recommendations and they were excellent. Expensive, but not exorbitant food- but consider the location.

Had lunch at the Cafe section. Shared a can of Coke and a chicken pastry for TL 33. At least they could have put a bit of chicken in but the pastry was OK. There are people selling icy cold bottles of water for TL 1 and others selling Cobs of corn for TL 2 just outside the entrance. I... More

This cafe is situated in the grounds of Topkapi Palace and offers a welcome stop to rest weary feet. The cafe has outdoor seating and has wonderful views over the Bosphorus. Tasty savory snacks and pastries as well as an assortment of drinks including tea, coffee, juices etc. Unfortunately we did not have time for dinner as the restaurant looks... More

OK. It's a tourist trap, but a tourist trap worth to walk down all the steps and to the see the view on Bosphorus, Golden Horn and Marmaris Sea. Like every other place in such a location in the world: everything is overpriced, they do not have the most friendly staff, and especially in the outdoor self-service area they know... More

Don't think you can sneak in with a coffee and get the view - oh no!! The space is roped off for diners and coffee drinkers get hemmed into a corner. We had a coffee in the corner (still great views) and then asked to have lunch. We were whisked through to a light breezy, canopied section that made me... More

I explored the Topkapi in Istanbul November 1999. and the Kalyani The Kolyani was excellent if expensive, but when the Turkish lire went to 500,000 = $1, no-one had the rates figured out. Dining on 'the Sultan's Feast' while overlooking the Bosporus, with Asia in easy sight... it was an unforgettable experience. The menu is printed in 6 languages (and... More
