Maybe one of the best restaurants in all of Turkey

This was my second visit to this restaurant and it was as good if not better than what I remembered. Sour meatballs, olive walnut salad, pumpkin pistachio dessert! An added adventure is to take the ferry from Sultanahmed to Kadikoy. The restaurant is only a 10 minute walk from the ferry... read more

I went last week on my vacation with my friends. All the food was perfect but there was a waiter his name is Abdullah. Don't ever get from him service. Terrible. Before we sat there was a 2 plate of Shepard salads on table and I told him to I don't want then he said that they don't charge for... More

We were in Katacoy and were glad we found this place through trip advisor. we each had a plateful of cold Mezas, all of which were delicious. We shared a variety of hot dish servings because each of them looked fabulous and we wanted to try them. Our favorites were "mother and daughter", lamb with cherries, and lamb with apricots..wow!!... We had the chance to eat here twice, as it's just 2 blocks from the Hilton Doubletree Moda hotel where we stayed (that is a hidden gem for tourists.) The best dish I tried in Istanbul (and ordered twice): pistachio kebab (10/10) Runner up: Kunefe (very big and rich - must share, even for those with big appetites) (9/10) Other... More

This restaurant is a must if you adventure the Asian side, food is really good, tasty and cheap. Options are so many that I got overwhelmed after the third plate and left! 😄 Service is good enough if you don't speak Turkish, they take you to the counter and you can point to what looks good.

I intentionally sought out this place and it was definitely worth the journey. Start with the salad bar. Lots of fresh veggies and amazing dips. They do have kabobs and I enjoyed them but I especially enjoyed the vegetarian food. There are many traditional hot stews to choose from and someone there will help you decide, order and translate. Lots of... More

We were recommended this restaurant by a friend who has lived in Istanbul. We caught the tram then ferry from Sultanahmet. The area is vibrant and the restaurant is fantastic. It gets very busy, so book or make sure you go early. There's a great selection of food. It's self service to a certain point, and a very casual atmsophere.... More

Lots of small fresh plates to choose, from different Turkish cuisines and much better quality-price balanced than the other touristy restaurants on the same street.

Thanks to glowing write-ups, this Asian-side eatery is no longer the secret it once was, but the restaurant – possibly the best in Istanbul – has remained true to what made it successful in the first place. Owner-chef Musa Dağdeviren's commitment to collecting recipes from around Turkey has resulted in a menu that features unusual regional dishes you're unlikely to... More

Great array of regional turkish dishes that i havent tried before and by far the busiest restaurant in the area. Had a selection of about 6 small plates and a meze salad buffet platter. Food was very good but not excellent. Expensive too! Would probably go back as there were many other dishes i Couldnt try.
