The location of the restaurant is great! Situated in a small street with many bars and restaurants, it offers turkish flair at its best. The food, however, was average, unfortunately, the price was also average and noch cheap. Due to the huge choice of restaurants in that area, I would not recommend going there again.

still cant believe they charged 63 liras for 2 half portion soups and two portion doner kebab. dunno why they are charging this much considering the location. quality of food is well above average but still the prices can be more reasonable. it wasnt like this before they expanded across the street and started selling kebab.

Eating here for lunch was such a tremendous culinary experience that on our last day there we had to return for a second lunch before taking the boat to the port close to the airport for our departure. That speaks volumes, the staff were efficient friendly, kind and appreciated our glee to be faced with a table so full of... More

Fresh and healthy! We went here on the recommendation of our foodie friends. They weren't wrong - the food is amazing and well worth the ferry ride to get there. The prices are extremely reasonable as well. Even though we were there at a busy lunch period the service was prompt and friendly.

We were on a tram and I was reading my Istanbul Eats book. A man standing next to me told that Ciya was the place to go on the Asian side. It did not disappoint. We had a cold platter of meze. You select what you want and staff weigh the plate. We also added some kibbeh and a small... More

It is strange at first that the starters here are sold by weight (though they are not pricey). This restaurant really does have a spin of its own on several varieties of turkish food. What its really known for is the home cooked meals it has revived, and they are surely worth the 30minute ride from Eminonu. Staff are helpful... More

Really good local food, with locally sourced ingredients. Lots of choices in terms of meats and veg dishes. A real mixture of locals and tourists eating here. Choice of inside or al fresco dining on the street. I would highly recommend this place.

Only had three meals here so far but this might deserve a second visit. You can sit in the pedestrian street or opt to go inside. Food nice and well priced by Western standards. Happy to recommend.

The food wows. Everything is delicious and classic Turkish dishes are outstanding. Service fast and efficient. Really amazingly yummy. And there's more than one location so if you can't get seating, try the one a few doors down. Always crowded. So good!
