Delicious Food at great price

The food in this restaurant is excellent and fresh. It is great restaurant option to enjoy good Turkish food at reasonable prices. The restaurant managers made us feel very welcome every time we went there (3 times during this stay). Highly recommend it!

Like many before us, we loved this restaurant. From what we understand, it serves Kurdish inspired specialties and has a well deserved reputation for quality and authenticity. We returned a few times as we wanted to try as many of the often unusual dishes as possible. Highly recommended.

I went there solely on the advice of tripadvisor. Sat next to a couple of business men and spoke with them briefly. One said that I had stumbled upon a really great, authentic spot that he had been promising to take his coworker to for ages. They do appetizers by weight, you serve yourself, they weigh... The entre is traditional.... More

Ciya is a really unique reastaurant with an always changing menu. It is original, interesting and very affordable. It has some little faults, but overall I really enjoyed my food here. In its street it is well worth to check out the street market.

I went there following the recommendation of a friend, for who it was the most amazing restaurant he tried when he was in Istanbul. The welcome is very friendly. Someone is dedicated to explain the way of working of the restaurant: starters (vegetarian mezzés) in self-service; main dishes and desserts from the menu. I tried a lot of different mezzés... More

We went to Ciya Sofrasi on the last day of our 5 days in Istanbul as we had read that the food was incredible and very different to what we had had for the last few days. When we arrived on a Sunday night at about 7.30 it seemed chaotic, we didn't really know what to do but kind of... More

Great food, great value. Local dishes which varies according to the season, all fresh, delicious, healthy. Veggies, kababs and not to miss the cold herb buffet and the unique desserts... A gastronomical feast.

We were initially attracted to the look of the food and the ambience from the street. Then the host came outside and instead of waving a menu at us and almost being insulted if we didn't sit down to a meal, explained how the restaurant worked, where we would find kebaps if we preferred them, and wasn't pushy. We were... More

We loved that you could order appetisers by weight - I had seen the Saveur Magazine (a gourmet cooking mag that tours restaurants worldwide) framed on the stairway wall and it had Ciyas Wedding pie featured so that was one appetiser we had. The pie was delicious with chicken, almonds and rice amongst other things. We also had some meat... More

I live not too far from this place and I must say, I take every guest I have either from another country or another Turkish city to this place if I ever want to impress them about living here in Kadıköy. I may even propose to my future wife in this damn restaurant, had nearly all my best meals in... More
