And we ate many, many wonderful meals during our three week stay. Take the ferry to Kadikoy, wander through the markets to find Ciya, watch your bread puffing in the oven, enjoy the incredible aromas enveloping the entire restaurant and see if you can avoid licking your plate clean. The kunefe dessert was particularly good, perhaps the best I've ever... More

We visited this restaurant at the advice of a family friend. For the price you pay there are many better options in Istanbul. The portions were small and the service marginal.

Recommend taking the ferry across to Kadikoy for this great restaurant/cafe. Informal outdoor and indoor seating. You choose tasty salads from a bar then have the plate weighed. For mains you go and choose from many selections so that you have half a dozen portions - we had half portions of most as otherwise would have been too much. The... More

Our favorite meal in Istanbul was this place for lunch. The food, atmosphere, service, and area were all exactly what we were looking for. We took a ferry from the old town to the Asian side which was a pleasant 20 minute ride (4 liras). To find the restaurant, you need to find the street where they are selling all... More

I was only in this part of Istanbul for dinner and it was well worth it. I came with a few friends I met traveling who were headed here for dinner because a friend had recommended it to them. The food was fantastic, we got more food and better food than what we had for lunch and paid less. The... More

I can easily put Ciya at the top of my most favorite places to be at in Istanbul. Besides the originality of the meals, they are also very tasty. Located in the center of Kadikoy on the Asian side; the atmosphere permit me to say smells of original Turkish and that's a good thing. If you visit, I highly recommend... More

We came to Kadikoy after reading the reviews of this restaurant. This is a restaurant that makes dishes like grandma used to make if you are Turkish or Armenian like me. Stews, stuffed veggies. Not everyone likes this kind of cooking where the flavors simmer together. Try it you'll like it. Another food experience to have in Istanbul. Great desserts.... More

I just say one thing, taste everything you can. The food is formidable and the desserts are especial.

The food here is excellent. But what we liked most was that we could try so many different dishes. There are a few restaurants in the chain and the food looked great at all of them

We had a quick business lunch, and it was perfect. Delicious, one of a kind, not the usual and fast service as well. Higly recommended
