I can easily put Ciya at the top of my most favorite places to be at in Istanbul. Besides the originality of the meals, they are also very tasty. Located in the center of Kadikoy on the Asian side; the atmosphere permit me to say smells of original Turkish and that's a good thing. If you visit, I highly recommend... More

We came to Kadikoy after reading the reviews of this restaurant. This is a restaurant that makes dishes like grandma used to make if you are Turkish or Armenian like me. Stews, stuffed veggies. Not everyone likes this kind of cooking where the flavors simmer together. Try it you'll like it. Another food experience to have in Istanbul. Great desserts.... More

I just say one thing, taste everything you can. The food is formidable and the desserts are especial.

The food here is excellent. But what we liked most was that we could try so many different dishes. There are a few restaurants in the chain and the food looked great at all of them

We had a quick business lunch, and it was perfect. Delicious, one of a kind, not the usual and fast service as well. Higly recommended

We ate here once for dessert and went back twice. We preferred the Sofrasi to the Kebap side because the former had a wide range of appetizers (sold by weight) and very interesting mains and desserts (especially the pumpkin and walnut desert and the almond drink). The Asian side is missed by too many tourists and Ciya is right in... More

We were there in Nov, 2012 - I found a booklet from back then and realised I' d never got around and reviewed this restaurant. We visited it as part of a culinary tour, so have expected it to be special and we were still impressed, for most dishes were vegetables and were delicious in different ways. They had an... More

A lively busy spot surrounded by vibrant streets. The food was stunning a great variety and you choose it from the already prepared large range. Wild cherry meatballs were delicious as were the zucchini flowers. The turnover ensures everything is refreshed quickly. Two things to be careful of are the lack of alcohol and the last ferry to Eminönü leaves... More

In Kadikoy, we have to try out this well-reviewed eatery. The food is good, but not exceptional, or maybe I am not used to the real, local flavors. Great location to enjoy the ambience and the busy crowd that travels these small streets.

The best food I had during my stay in Istanbul, wonderful Ciya "cheese" kebabs and we loved all the appetizers and main dishes we ordered.
