I was on a trip to a very cold cold and snowy Turkey recently and was brought by my friend Mehmet Urzan to try some local delights near the Sophia Mosque. I will not spoil the excitement of really really tasty Donurs, cheese melted dishes, stuffed egg plants and one of the better chocolate puddings I had when I was... More

Plenty of choice, also for vegetarians, very tasty freshly made food, fast and polite service, I would go there again to have a quick lunch. However if you want something romantic, forget it, just go for good and fast service, no wasted time.

Don't be fooled by the name, this place provides large portions of everything delicious in Turkish cuisine and the prices are very reasonable!

This restaurant probably used to be okay since it is often recommended in old guidebooks. Today, however, it is awful. The food was perhaps the worst I have ever had. It tasted like dog food mixed with cold potatoes in water. The staff were also unbelievably rude. I have never seen such poor service.

We stopped by before the lunch crowd. The service was fast and friendly, the food traditional, and so centrally located. Stop by to enjoy a meal; then continue to exploring the heart of Turkey.

The pudding shop renowned for its cinematic role in midnight express was suggested by the tour guide. What a disappointment - overpriced average quality of food! Overcrowded and no ambience

Iconic eatery started in the sixties and still going. Young travellers would put notices in the shop to share travelling or try to get a lift with others!

Pudding Shop had its (hey)day. By now it's overpriced (!) with rude service and a tourist trap to say the least. Also extra costs are easily and randomly added, I feel. So is a similar restaurant shop a few doors away though marginally better. Uninformed tourists, or those who don't read up before they go, tend to go here, and... More

The food scored a 3.5 stars in my book. It is served cafeteria style. They don't have a set menu so you just walk up to see what is being served. The day I was there stuffed chicken breastfeeding - meatballs - salmon for the main. Sides were rice - mashed potatoes - fries .

Went to restaurant as part of our tour group lunch break. Food was served buffet style. Portions were very large and little description given. Two meals with Noah dessert came to 55 TL. For the taste, I'd say a little too pricey especially if you compare it to the delicious food at Taksim Square
