We ate here frequently and became friends with the staff. The restaurant has a rooftop terrace witha view of the Blue Mosque, which is rather a climb. The room downstairs is perfectly fine. excellent food at unbelievable prices -- and just round the corner from the Hotel

Ate here a few times on our trip, food is very good, especially Turkish pizzas, and you can enjoy a stunning view from the roof as you eat. Prices are lower than in most restaurants, restaurant is very close to the Blue Mosque and Sultanahmet Square, staff are very friendly and even gave us a round of tea on the... More

I visited Doy Doy Restaurant three times during my five night trip to Istanbul, and it was definitely one of my favourite places to eat! We sat on the terrace each time with an amazing view of the blue mosque as well as the sea. The food was delicious, especially the Turkish pizza. The restaurant was clean, service was quick,... More

As opposed to what was written in some French guide, we found the food OK but nothing more. For sure very nice view from the terrace.

Cheap, tasty & authentic. Pizza is piping hot & crispy from the wood burning pizza oven. Try the Turkish mixed pize. Serves mostly (but not all) a tourist crowd – lots of Japanese tables when we visited so must be mentioned in Japanese guidebooks. We loved the Pize and everything else we saw looked good too. Downsides – no alcohol.... More

We went to Doy Doy following the recommendation of a guide. We were very disappointed. The food had very little taste, the vegetables dry, I couldn't eat them, the restaurant was on the dirty side and no effort either in presentation or decor of the place. They haven't spent any money in trying to make it a better place for... More

We tried Doy Doy on a recommendation from a local hotel owner, and were very happy we did. The food was good, our kids loved the kiwi tea, and the bread was outstanding. We came back a couple more times while we were in Istanbul. Convenient walking distance from the old city, near the mosques. Get a table on the... More

We decided to go here based on a recommendation from a Chinese website, and it was exactly as they described. The food is very good, the prices are reasonable, and there is a great view from the top terrace. I had a kebab, my son had the pizza and my wife had lamb chops. All of us enjoyed the dishes....
