The place was recommended to us by the hotel's receptionist. When we arrived we never thought the experience was going to be so pleasant. The food was not only very good, it was cheap. The staff is also very friendly. My 2 year old son who is lately a bit shy and does not like to be even looked by... More

We ate at fancy places and not so fancy places during our stay, and this place hands down was the best. Friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The portions are huge, cheap and delicious. Make sure to head to the roof for your meal, great view of the Blue Mosque and the sea.

The view of the blue mosque is great from here. Good friendly staff and even better food. No alcohol is served as it is too close to mosque but still worth a visit for the good and view.

We had great adana kebabs at Doy Doy restaurant. It's informal and relatively cheap, and the roof top was nice on a beautiful, sunny afternoon. Recommended!

We ate here frequently and became friends with the staff. The restaurant has a rooftop terrace witha view of the Blue Mosque, which is rather a climb. The room downstairs is perfectly fine. excellent food at unbelievable prices -- and just round the corner from the Hotel

Ate here a few times on our trip, food is very good, especially Turkish pizzas, and you can enjoy a stunning view from the roof as you eat. Prices are lower than in most restaurants, restaurant is very close to the Blue Mosque and Sultanahmet Square, staff are very friendly and even gave us a round of tea on the... More

I visited Doy Doy Restaurant three times during my five night trip to Istanbul, and it was definitely one of my favourite places to eat! We sat on the terrace each time with an amazing view of the blue mosque as well as the sea. The food was delicious, especially the Turkish pizza. The restaurant was clean, service was quick,... More

As opposed to what was written in some French guide, we found the food OK but nothing more. For sure very nice view from the terrace.

Cheap, tasty & authentic. Pizza is piping hot & crispy from the wood burning pizza oven. Try the Turkish mixed pize. Serves mostly (but not all) a tourist crowd – lots of Japanese tables when we visited so must be mentioned in Japanese guidebooks. We loved the Pize and everything else we saw looked good too. Downsides – no alcohol.... More
