The best ottoman restaurant in Istanbul. Service quality is so good. You feel like a real PADİŞAH when you are served by the waiters. Food is incredibly delicious. Special receipies. Love going there and having dinner at Asitane. I highly suggest this restaurant to istanbul visitors.

After visiting the nearby Christian Church, Chora Church we were taken by our guide to this wonderful authentic restaurant, we sampled dishes from the Sultan's festival menus fro the 15th to the 18th centuries.Another must whilst in the area of Edirnekapi.

The food in this Ottoman restaurant was not only delicious, but was served beautifully. While we loved Turkish food it was nice to try something a little different in this establishment that strives to recreate Ottoman dishes.

This excellent restaurant serves traditional Ottoman cuisine. Nice atmosphere and service. Also great vegetarian options. If you had enough kebab and other overpriced tourist food: check out this place!

This restaurant has a nice tree-lined courtyard for outdoor dining. The recipes are the originals devised from the Topkapi Palace kitchen hundreds of years ago. I highly recommend the melon filled with spiced meat. We visiting the Chora Church in the morning and this was a great place to relax afterwards.

The Asitane was recommended by a friend, and did not disappoint. The food was different from the usual Turkish fare, delicate flavours and unusual ingredients. Service was friendly, and the setting is quiet, with a lovely garden area outside. If you go at night, take a taxi.

Immediately next to the Chora church this restaurant serves wonderful lunch and dinner. Surprising and very tasty dishes - a favorite was baked melon with minced meats and spices and lamb shank in puff pastry. We shared 3 appetizers and 3 main courses between 4 people and had plenty. Good wine selection.

We had lunch at the Asitane on a sunny September day, sitting outside. The cool surroundings were most relaxing and the dishes we ordered, reputedly from recipes dating back to the 1400's, were interesting, tasty, and different from the other meals that we ate during our stay in Istanbul. Service by young waiters and waitresses was excellent. We were given... More

This was our third visit to Asitane and it did not disappoint. Each time we have had a lovely meal. This time we arrived for a late lunch and sat on the patio. The service was attentive and the food was terrific. My companion started with the delicate almond soup. We shared the appetizer plate which had four spreads for... More
