So nice we went there twice

Really nice food in a very clean restaurant. So nice there's no need to have a person on the door to persuade you to enter. I enjoyed a veal steak on my first visit and a shish kebab on the second. Both were lovely meals.

This is a nice café close to the Blue Mosque, etc., and a short tram ride/walk to the Grand Bazaar. We were there for a late lunch on a cold, rainy day, and it was a pleasant break from the rain. The service couldn't have been friendlier, and each of the four of us had a nice lunch. Nothing over... More

This is just round the corner from the Neorion Hotel where we are staying. We have been here three nights in succession, principally because my daughters like it and it is too cold to want to explore much further. The service is excellent, the food is good but the choice on the menu is pretty limited and we will have... More

We stumbled upon this lovely cafe when looking for a place to eat. It looked lovely from outside and we took a seat. It was warm inside and there weren't many people inside so it was quite. We had pasta and mixed meat plates. It came within 10 minutes which could be considered quick. The service on the table was... More

When you're tired of the traditional Turkish cuisine and the frenetic vibe characteristic of most Turkish restaurants Cafe Meze is a wonderful alternative. The intimate cafe has a relaxed ambience. It is possible to sit in there and listen to the background music or read a book while enjoying a meal. There small menu offers excellently prepared meals. The cafe... More

This place lets you know that pretty everything you know about the humble Kebab is wrong, this restaurant expertly deconstructs the infamous all encompassing street food assault/chant of Istanbul and serves it to you with melt in your mouth medium rare veal, perfectly grilled veg and a smattering of "in tune" yogurt on a bed of sliced crispy pitta squares.... We had a delicious plate of mese, lentil soup and yoghurt kebap. We were surprised by the kindness and non-pushyness of the staff (which is rare around there). Really good value for the money. Located near to the main attractions.

We went here to try the mesa platter which was alright, but it was the mesa kebabs in the yogurt tomato sauce which stood out. Prices were a bit more than the kebab stands but not too steep.
