We were almost daily visitors to this funky coffee shop in a very cool part of town during our recent 4 day stopover in Istanbul. Pros: excellent espresso, good variety of brewing methods and bean selection, comfortable lounging either at the front to enjoy the fantastic people watching or chilling out down the back, friendly service. Cons: it's busy and... More

Had coffee here 3 times during our 5 days in Istanbul, we were staying just around the corner & loved the great coffee here. Milk perfect drinking temperature & a stabdard 2 ahots per coffee. Great atmosphere, wish they had a few more baked goodies to nibble on. Clean bathroom downstairs as well.

You can get a great coffee and enjoy your cake. A very pleasant atmosphere. Not a surprise that it is popular among the expats; as we were there, most of the clients were foreigners. Highly recommended for a short stop and refreshment.

what a top spot for a coffee. the whole Beyoglu area is going though gentrification while keeping the beauty of the old town. the same is true for kronotrop that is keeping real coffee real.. you won't find any vanilla late here, espresso/cold drip and siphon adorn the chalk boards here. great coffee selection and great baristas..

The coffee here is delicious. We stopped by for a morning coffee hit and a bit of a sweet treat and loved it. The barista pays great attention and care in each coffee, and staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. The interior decoration and layout is modern and trendy, a nice atmosphere to relax in. We really enjoyed sitting sipping... More

This coffee shop has a great location and a great design - well suited to the area it's located and very cool by Istanbul standards. We visited on a hot summer afternoon after wandering around the streets of Taksim and Cihangir so decided on the cold coffee - a Japanese pour-over and Kyoto style. Both were delicious and refreshing -... More

KronotRop is definitely a must-go when you're looking for a good non-Turkish-style coffee in Istanbul. Good coffee, nice people, great location. When you sit outside you can watch people go past. The interior is great, too. Seems like quite an international spot. Baristas can speak a little bit of English. Will surely go back.

Since I am Italian and I perfectly know how an espresso should taste like, I tend ti lower a Lit my ex peccarono when I am abroad, and it usually works... but not this time. I was so disgusted with the coffee they served me that I decided to write this review. I can't believe they call it espresso, because... More

Delicious non-Turkish (European) coffee and good service. Nice spot at a small square in Cihangir. I bought some coffeebeans to have my own Kronotrop-experience at home. You can sit in- or outside, depending on what you want. Free wifi included!

Kronotrop has moved to a new address: Firuzağa Camii Sokağı 3A This place might as well be a hipster location in Berlin in terms of interior design. They have top-notch really really amazing coffee (continental, not Turkish), great cake and free wifi. The surrounding streets are interesting and artsy.
