Liked this place a lot; good service, decent pizza, though the menu is a bit small. Enjoyable place to hang out.

Off the beaten path in an area of art galleries and coffee houses. Brick oven pizzas on excellent crust with many imaginative topping combinations to pick from. The service was friendly and good and the ambience was cool.

I went to eat in Cukurcuma 49 with several friends;I have been told that they are serving the best pizza in the area. The location, as well as the architecture and furnishing of the restaurant are 5 stars; talking about the food: I ordered a mushroom pizza, which claims to have porcini and truffle oli; price 37TL; well this pizza... The restaurant's quirky industrial design in the middle of an artsy, bohemian part of Beyoglu was a joy. The simple menu of delicious pizza was worth the stop for a slice of authentic Italy.

Amazing salad to start - don't miss it! I had no. 10 and it was gorgeous but my partner had pepperoni pizza and it wasn't very nice. I wonder if the pepperoni wasn't made from pig perhaps?? Anyway wonderful fast service so would heartily recommend.

I am in love with the decoration of the place. Cosy place for confidences with my girl friends but also for a couple if you are not looking for something fancy. As it is quite small, maybe to avoid if you are a big group. Good pizza and good house wine. Service discrete but effective, English speakers.

Absolutely tasty pizza with lots of cheese. 100% comfort food. Friendly and fast service. As a dessert we had some delicious almond ricotta pie. House wine could have had a deeper taste to better accompany the herby homemade tomato sauce. Starters are a bit uninspired - how about some anti pasti?

Located in the heart of Istanbul's antiques neighborhood, leave Istiklal and stop off at this great pizzeria and breakfast place. Superb pizza, service, dessert, ambience and reasonable prices will bring you back and back again. Had a great time!

One of the best pizzas I've ever had - and that's a lot to say, being nearly 60 years old! Some pizzas have a nice Turkish touch (had one of them), others are international.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
