On our first day in the city, we went here for a light dinner. 2 of us shared a pizza and a salad and it was more than enough food. The design of the restaurant is really cool and unique. Ask for the English menu if they dont give it to you at first. The food was fantastic and the... More

As profound pizza fan I was truly lucky to find out about this place. All my friends concurred: best pizza of the year. Bit pricey for Isthiklal standards so you see a lot of expats and tourists

With an abundance of excellent breakfast joints around Cukurcuma and Cihangir, this place is not really a contender. My husband's Bozcaada Kahvaltisi was just so-so... the criminal oversight of no bal-kaymak is unforgivable. My bacon (REAL) and mozarella yumurta was better (did I mention the bacon was real?!). It was like a pizza, cooked in a wood-burning oven. Service was... More

One Sunday afternoon my friends musicians invited me to Cukurcuma 49. I was lucky enough to get there, to have a good lunch and to have fun! I had three glasses of red wine and a hearty pork ham pizza, which is rare for Istanbul. The atmosphere there was very relaxing, the food and wine were fine and the prices... More

Staying in Istanbul for a week and have already visited this little restaurant twice - once for lunch and once for dinner. With 24hrs to go we may yet make a third call. The pizza is really excellent with thin crisp crusts and very tasty toppings. I particularly reconmend the tulumi pizza with salty cheese from Izmir. For vegetarians like... More

Great pizza! Cozy restaurant with 2 levels and there was live music. We went close to 9pm and it was crowded but we managed to get a table. The live music was a nice surprise. They charge an additional fee. Larger pizza selection than I imagined and it was delicious. Thin crust and large enough to share with 2 people... More

My husband and I arrived in Istanbul late on Valentine's Day and tried our luck at getting a table at this restaurant. T our delight, one table was available. We ordered a bottle of the Desperate House Wine (red) and I quite liked it. It reminded me of a Grenache but my husband wasn't as big of a fan stating... More
