Allways Listen to Anthony Bourdain :))!!

I heard about Durumzade on "No reservations' because I am a huge fan and , of course, I was not disappointed. They have , by far , the best kebabs in Istanbul, chicken / lamb/ mixed. I ate there three times in a row and I would have eaten the fourth time as well but I was already on my... read more

We went there twice and would come again if we had more time. It's a very small place with a couple of tables. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable, especially in comparison with other places around Istiklal. Lamb wrap, lamb kebab plate, corba, tea and ayran was enough for two persons and cost ˜35 TRY.

Turkish fast food. Got a mixed chicken and beef wrap. Amazing! Picture of Anthony bourdain on the front, not sure if he has ever been there.

We had the lamb kebab, it was delicious! Staff helped us order as we couldn't read the Turkish menu, the food was cooked quickly and we loved it! Fresh simple food done perfectly.

I've been to it the first day i was in Istanbul, judging by the place i didn't expect much, but i was surely wrong as the taste is astonishing and the simplicity and coziness of the little place is really nice .. as well as being cheap compared to others who don't offer the same taste .. the only bit... Great little place to eat. We came in the evening, there are only a couple of tables inside but it is worth getting the food here. It is not expensive, food is made fresh. We had the Adana kofte which was delicious with a thin type of nan bread. Very friendly staff and they speak English and can guide you... More

Durumzade was a little hard to find with all those construction works happening on the little streets in the Istiklal area and it was kind of a shock the way the place looks. If I hadn't learned about it on food blogs I would have never even notice it. It is an incredible contrast between the way this place looks... More

From what I have tried until now in countries with kebap tradition, I must say that here I ate the best. We came here guided by Anthony Bourdain show and after reading several blogs. We took a rolled kebap with lamb and one on plate with beef. They both came with lots of vegetables and on the table, there is... More

We loved this place so much. It doesn't look very good and fancy but the food is delicious! And the chef is so kind, he will do whatever you desire. We took mixed grilled meat and salad. We are planning to go back again before leaving Istanbul. Thank you!

Authentic, simple small restaurant, nothing fancy but great grilled meats in crispy thin bread, wrapped or on a plate. Salads on the side are very good! Lot of local people. Friendly service with English spoken! One of the best of its kind in the city! Reccomended!
