I walked here from my hotel in Sultanahmet, almost gave up as most locals didn't have a clue what "Durumzade" was, however I knew I was hot on the trail when a few people actually seemed like they did! I was sent from corner to corner, through streets and alleys, finally stumbling on this little hole in the wall. Best... More

One of the best fast food shops in Istanbul. Small menu and everything cooked to order and very tasty. Don't expect a luxury sit down experience, but well priced food for take away or to eat on plastic tables in shop or in street outside shop. Owner very friendly and accommodating. Sets the standard for durums!

Like many before me, I also was turned onto this place from Anthony Bourdain's 2011 recommendation and I suspect I am not the only person who showed up and went "Is this the right place?" Most places receiving that type of exposure would have his face plastered all over the place, but this looks like nothing has changed in the... More

The kebab was truly tasty and great. We got double meat and could taste the subtle flavours of sumac, red onion and parsley, great tastes. Staff were great, very polite and courteous and explained what was on offer. Nothing fancy about this place, it's just simple and authentic and you get what you come for and want to expect, a... Wow! Just wow. The best meal we had in Istanbul! We didn't even know that Anthony Bourdain was there until we looked up and saw his face on the wall. Not very touristy which made it even better! We were the only tourists there. The food was freaking amazing!

I came here based on Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" recommendation and it did not disappoint. It's located a few minute walk from Istiklal. The kebab wrap had a tiny bit of a kick to it and tasted just right. A bit too much wrap for my taste perhaps but it was excellent. I believe it was about 9TL for a... More

We have been there late at night(at 3:00 early in the morning!!), actually after leaving the Ritim Roof Bar(one of the most amazing bar in Istiklal), for dinner and we tested Durum(wrapped Kebab) with Ayran(traditional drink) which I can say honestly the most delicious one I tried in istanbul during my 6 times visiting the city!! The staff are very... More

Went on three occasions- tried the double Adana wrap, and porsiyons of the kuzu (lamb) and tavuk (chicken). All were delicious! For once Boudain was right! The staff are incredibly polite and were keen to help us choose the right items on the menu.
