Had a couple of meals here while visiting Istanbul. My only words are thanks to the owner and his staff who are extremely friendly and attentive. On our first visit we had the classic adana with double meat. Delish! Our second time around we had the mix platter with tomato salad on the side. WOW, definitely a highlight of our... More

Don't be put off by the appearance!!!! This small place that is not much more than a takeaway with seating punches well above its weight. I had the double Adana kebab which was superb. I could not eat this quick enough and ended up coming back later on (after a couple of beers in the local bars) to try the... More

This is a very small place, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in food quality. Before I tried their durum, I had no idea that something so seemingly simple could be this good. As other reviewers said, double is the way to go, and adana is a personal favourite of mine. As well as... More

Ok. So when my friends who live in Turkey said we'll go more than once this weekend I thought they were kidding three days later and three wraps later I'm a convert! Yumilicious. I have now upgraded to the double with peppers.

Delicious durum! Take the owner's advice and go for the double, you will be glad you did. It's a little bit of a challenge to find, but it is worth taking the time to find it.

This is an ABSOLUTE MUST. it’s a magic wrap. Get the Adana, or anything else. it’s magical. I’ve dreamt of this. I’ve packed multiples back to my apartment. Bourdain ate here. MUST GO.

Visited this place for dinner. While the food was good, they were are and I would not go back there. Ordered a salad and was told it would be 3 lira, when we were paying the price suddenly changed to 5 lira. This seems very common in turkey where vendors will make up a price for foreigners. If you are... More

and cheap. Facebook is a remarkable thing. Unknownst to either of us, my cousin and I happened to be in Istanbul at the same time, and when I posted some images of sights there, he messaged me, and we got together for dinner. Durumzade was his suggestion and it was quite a ways from where we were staying in Sultanhamet.... More

Awesome food for an awesome low price. Bit of the beaten tourist track but def. worth it. Try the adnana double durum for 10 tl.
