Bourdain was really right this time. Nice service, fair prices and GORGEOUS food - from the tasty bread to the spicy and moist chicken and lamb. Ask for a "mixed plate" for a complete experience.

Tiny restaurant. Owner is very proud of his food. Very tasty brochette in pita. Simple. Fast. Not much place to sit, but it was ok for the 4 of us. Staff is very nice, even if they don't speak much English.

It took us some time to locate this place, tucked away a street or two off Istiklal Avenue...but it was worth the search when we sampled the food. As previous posts indicate, this place is not haute cuisine, but an unassuming, no frills, corner restaurant boasting superb durum (or wrap) bursting with flavors. By the looks of the sparse seating... More

Sure wish we'd discovered this place earlier in our weeklong visit, instead of on our last night. We would have eaten here numerous times. The food is absolutely fabulous and delightfully inexpensive. There's even a delicious vegetarian option. Bravo!

Had a couple of meals here while visiting Istanbul. My only words are thanks to the owner and his staff who are extremely friendly and attentive. On our first visit we had the classic adana with double meat. Delish! Our second time around we had the mix platter with tomato salad on the side. WOW, definitely a highlight of our... More

Don't be put off by the appearance!!!! This small place that is not much more than a takeaway with seating punches well above its weight. I had the double Adana kebab which was superb. I could not eat this quick enough and ended up coming back later on (after a couple of beers in the local bars) to try the... More

This is a very small place, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in food quality. Before I tried their durum, I had no idea that something so seemingly simple could be this good. As other reviewers said, double is the way to go, and adana is a personal favourite of mine. As well as... More
