Amazing kebab

Ventured into this small place after a few drinks. Possibly the best kebab I've ever had in my life. If you are in the area be sure to try it. I can't imagine anyone who enjoys the occasional kebab not being blown away. Very good value as well.

Get the vegetarian wrap! If you want a super-quick, non-chain snack or meal close to Istiklal, but slightly off the main drag, this place is perfect.

The Adana kebabs lived up to its hype with meat well marinated and grilled to perfection. The wrap is very tasty with its layered spices. The combination of the tomatoes, parsley and onions makes the best spent 8 liras in Istanbul!

Great food does not need a fancy setting, great location.. Durumzade does simple and great food and they do it with Smile. Went there twice on a recent trip and both times we were more than satisfied. Would highly recommend and would love to go back when we are back in Istanbul (soon i hope).

Cheap and delicious - and a very welcome change from some of the guidebook favourite restaurants we've tried in Istanbul. Sitting on a street corner in the evening sun was just lovely, and all for 26TL (2 kebaps and 2 waters)

Really good meat and the bread around it is soaked with gravy. The greens added were very good. Yes, it doesnt't have really nice interior nor the large seating area, but this is the case in Istanbul. If You are looking for a great kebab to eat, I'd really reccommend this place instead of the ones in touristy places. One... More

Our 5 point review: 1. Need to preface by saying that WE WERE TOO FULL to fully enjoy, but even then you could tell that this kebab was a bit different 2. Ordered one kebab between the two of us, and we devoured it in minutes of having it arrived. Deliciously grilled meat right there in front of us with... More

Good durum. Expected a lot more flavor , which wasn't the case. Open very late into the am. And good service.

I can say it in a few words. We got some amazing food in Istanbul, but this was the best. Hands down the best kebab I ever tasted! The meat was incredibly tasty, just the right amount of greens and amazing bread. And cheap on top of that. As a side note it features in Anthony Bourdains No Reservations in... More

I had the curiosity to try this restaurant after many recommendations. We went there on a snowy day. The place is very simple with three tables, the owner gave us a warm welcome. We tried the double kebab and it was really good with nice spices and special bread toasted after wrapping the whole thing. I have tried the tekka... More
