Best kebab ever!

I can say it in a few words. We got some amazing food in Istanbul, but this was the best. Hands down the best kebab I ever tasted! The meat was incredibly tasty, just the right amount of greens and amazing bread. And cheap on top of that. As a side note it features in Anthony Bourdains No... read more

I had the curiosity to try this restaurant after many recommendations. We went there on a snowy day. The place is very simple with three tables, the owner gave us a warm welcome. We tried the double kebab and it was really good with nice spices and special bread toasted after wrapping the whole thing. I have tried the tekka... More

We have durum adana (normal one) and it was really good. All normal durums were 7 TL. Also the guy there could speak English.

After hearing high praises for this place, we ensured to cover Durumzade. The place was pretty close to where we were staying on Ishtiklal. Good atmosphere, and you could feel it was a local favourite - but despite trying 2-3 dishes I didn't feel that the food was anything extraordinary.

This place looks simple, but the food is really fresh and good. I defintely recommend it if you're around Istiklal avenue, it's way better than what you can found on the touristic avenue, and really cheap (we paid 7 lira for a durum).

Other reviewers have said enough about price and cleanliness. I ate there twice and would go again, but then I would miss out on all the other fantastic spots. Well worth a quick bite.

As far as i am concerned, this is by far the best kebap i have ever tasted. Went here with my group of friends following in the footsteps of Anthony Bourdain and we weren't disappointed. Very affordable place (7 lira for the small kebap and 14.5 lira for the double). The staff speaks sufficent English to serve you. I would... More

Great place, slightly out of the typical tourists boundaries, but only a bit. Recommended by Anthony Bourdain, so I had to try it, there's even a pict of him on the wall. A hole in the wall, and a little dirty-didn't bother me, but I know people who would feel uncomfortable just sitting there. To me, it's more authentic and... More

Very small place with only three small tables. Very friendly staff, a few of them speak decent English, but we didn't need that because one of the guys there, worked in Romania for a 4 years until 1995 and still spoke very good Romanian and with no accent whatsoever. Tha Adana Kebeb is excellent. The meat is made on charcoal,... More

It is a very humble place with very friendly service. There is a guy works in the store who speaks enough English to serve to tourists plus he speaks Arabic and Turkish. Prices are really reasonable. I would suggust for someone who doesnt know much about kebabs to go for double kebab with single bread.
