You choose this because of the view

We spent an evening here to enjoy the view of the Bosphorus. And, of course, we chose fish for dinner. Personally, I think the restaurant is a little too polished to me. But that is of course a matter of taste. Very good fish. And a fin view. But not a place I would visit again

If you go to Tophane area yo must visit this nice place. We have visited in the first days of December. We have ordered hummus for appetizer. Then also ordered fried zucchini and calamary. We have also eaten borek with pastrami. We have eaten minekop (corb) fillet as main course. Except calamary everything was delicious. Calamary was fried too much... More

We were given a waterfront table with a beautiful view of the Bosphorus and the ships passing by. We ordered several different fresh fish entrees and all were pleased with their dinners. Others hat our table ordered lamb and enjoyed their meals as well. We were the only non Turks at Sardunya. If we had more time in Istanbul we... More

We were a group of 8 families that reserved Sardunya for lunch.we had taken most of the restaurant to ourselves. This restaurant has a very beautiful seafront location which is decorated by beautiful red flower plants. The appetizers or mezes were nicely decorated in a dish and were delicious. Most of us ordered grilled sea bass fish for main course. It... More

If you have limited time in Istanbul and Bosphorus restaurants are too far, this is a true gem. Stylish restaurant with a good selection of fish and meat dishes, very tasty. The seafood crepe was superb, also the steak served on potatoe mash and crisps. The service is very efficient. This restaurant is a perfect place to escape the buzzing... More

Marvellous food in a beautiful setting on the banks of the Bosphorus. One of the very best meals we've eaten and certainly the best in Istanbul. No tourists - just locals who know a good restaurant.

The restaurant is located in a nice building along the Bosphorous close to the international hotels. It is not easy to find it among lot of old administrative buidings. The restaurant is just on the sea and you can see all the trsffic flowing along the sea. Food is really good and cost is reasonable (but high if compared to... More

Staying in Karakoy

Neighborhood Profile
Karakoy
Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at the mouth of the Golden Horn. Perhaps the city’s most historically significant area, it’s currently one of the most happening parts of town as well. Here street vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks of the Horn where the views of major attractions across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions, such as the iconic 14th century Galata Tower and the Museum of Modern Art. A major hub for local and international waterborne traffic, Istanbul’s commercial and maritime heritage remains as relevant and evident as ever in Karakoy. Commuter ferries mingle with luxury cruise liners at its busy port, ensuring a continuously cosmopolitan flow of people..
