Personel very kind and efficient. Decent food. Classic meze. Main course satisfactory, home cooked sauce. But not exceptional and not in top 1% of city.

We went here for lunch and had a fantastic experience. The food was some of the best spiced we'd had in Istanbul, generous portions, and all fresh-tasting. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, attentive without being overly present. The best lunch we had: definitely worth 5 stars!

Our apartment is immediately opposite this cafe/restaurant and so it seemed the easiest thing to walk downstairs and across the narrow street for a meal, especially after a long drive from Ankara earlier in the day. The staff were very attentive and we were very happy with our meal which we had deferred as late as possible because we're right... More

We had a very enjoyable meal in this restaurant, food was delicious and the service was good and the staff friendly. We were made welcome on both occasions we dined here and would recommend this restaurant.

I came here with my friends in the evening and very much enjoyed the food and service. The waiting staff was extremely welcoming and was not pushy at any time! Would definitely go back!

Went looking for this restaurant after reading the good reviews but was seriously disappointed in the food and the service. We ordered the Meze plate which was nothing special and the Testi chicken and got lamb instead! The waiter was apologetic and we agreed to eat it rather than wait another 20 minutes or more for a replacement but it... More

I come a chance to this restaurant when I arrived to Istanbul. It is near the hotel where I am staying. I was welcome by Recab. He is very friendly & accommodating. He does not pressure you on the choices of food but instead recommend the good ones. I was very comfortable eating for 3 days in a row every... More

Many of the restaurants in Sultanahmet feel like tourist traps - food is bland and overpriced. It is also difficult to distinguish between them. Anatolia Cafe is the exception. The restaurant is tucked away on the back end of a small street, but it is worth going to. As said by others, the staff is very friendly and accommodating, including... More

I found the listing of this place on Trip Advisor and since I am staying nearby and it was pouring rain, I decided to try it out. The staff were so friendly and accommodating- they made me feel right at home! I had a delicious lentil soup, tender and sweet fried calamari, and then a specialty chicken dish in a... More

My favorite spot in Istanbul! Great food, warm ambience, friendly staff... Mehmet was kind and attentive and speaks English very well :-)The perfect place to relax and enjoy a fine meal. I had the sea bass served with fresh greens... it was delicious. The baklava was the best, served with a bit of ice cream and of course Turkish coffee...... More
