What I most appreciated was the non harassing staff. The owner was very kind and definitely not demanding. We ordered a Testi Lamb Kebab (portion for 2 people) for 60TL. It was served in a scenographic way (with the fire). Portion were sufficiently big and it tasted good. We took also two bottles of water for 4TL. Why have I... More

We tried several other restaurants along the street near our hotel, but we kept returning to the Anatolia Cafe for the warm hospitality of our host Mehmet and for their delicious seafood and lamb. During Ramadan, we would often eat here early before Iftar and simply sit and watch the people go by. I highly recommend the Anatolia Cafe's calimari,... More

Our family loved sitting outside at Anatolia and went back a second time for the excellent food and friendly waiter who took time to talk to our twelve year old grandson. We noticed that the restaurant was child friendly to the children of other patrons.Everything was freshly prepared and we had the best lentil soup during our stay in Turkey,

Although it's further from the main road than many restaurants, this restaurant was a great discovery. We got meze appetizer and the seafood mix for our main dish. The sea bream was cooked to perfection. The wait staff was pleasant and never pushy which is a rarity in Istanbul.

Personel very kind and efficient. Decent food. Classic meze. Main course satisfactory, home cooked sauce. But not exceptional and not in top 1% of city.

We went here for lunch and had a fantastic experience. The food was some of the best spiced we'd had in Istanbul, generous portions, and all fresh-tasting. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, attentive without being overly present. The best lunch we had: definitely worth 5 stars!

Our apartment is immediately opposite this cafe/restaurant and so it seemed the easiest thing to walk downstairs and across the narrow street for a meal, especially after a long drive from Ankara earlier in the day. The staff were very attentive and we were very happy with our meal which we had deferred as late as possible because we're right... More

We had a very enjoyable meal in this restaurant, food was delicious and the service was good and the staff friendly. We were made welcome on both occasions we dined here and would recommend this restaurant.

I came here with my friends in the evening and very much enjoyed the food and service. The waiting staff was extremely welcoming and was not pushy at any time! Would definitely go back!

Went looking for this restaurant after reading the good reviews but was seriously disappointed in the food and the service. We ordered the Meze plate which was nothing special and the Testi chicken and got lamb instead! The waiter was apologetic and we agreed to eat it rather than wait another 20 minutes or more for a replacement but it... More
