Description: This fancy pricey restaurant is located right next to Pantocrator Church (Zeyrek Mosque). It has a wonderful view to the East and the Suleymaniye Mosque, and is probably very popular with some tourists. However the service is truly awful. No matter how well you are dressed, if you have small backpack you are not treated with respect. Let's warn our readers about this bad restaurant. A much better choice is the very authentic, welcoming, and very reasonably priced restaurant one block further down the street called Zeyrek Cafe. What a contrast, and what a wonderful find. Its location in the historic Zeyrek District makes it a great place to enjoy a very tasty meal served by friendly staff. I highly recommend Zeyrek Cafe instead of Zeyrekhane Restaurant.

This old monastery was converted to an first Ottoman school in Istanbul and now a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The views of Istanbul are fantastic from its elevated position along the golden horn. It is difficult to find, even for the local taxi drivers but worth the effort. We had Saturday morning brunch on the outdoor patio. Definitely... More

Literally u need a map to get there, however when u r in it can only be described as Amazing. The view of the Suleimany Mosque and the Bosporus is stunning. The food is also unique and delicious. Mehmet was our waiter, a great guy with a smiley face. The prices are reasonable for such food and service.

Pricey yes... but it is an oasis after a long and dusty walk in the old quarter. Managed by Divan group it is a good place to take a breather.

I visited the restaurant for the second time. This time, in spring. I can say that it is certainly more joyous to seat outside. The view is perfect "Corne D'or" You seat within the history and have a quite good food. The plates are not very big but they serve some traditional Turkish tastes.

This is a restaurant worth visiting for its wonderful ambiance and breathtaking views. It is a great escape from the crowds in the touristic districts, offering calmness in its high quality interior and exterior spaces. The service was friendly and the food was nice but pricey. The place is really special, so I can understand the high prices but the... More

Zeyrek is a district lesser known than the other historical areas of Istanbul and thanks to that, it preserves to a greater extent its authentic social and architectural aspects. This restaurant/café is adjacent to Zeyrek Mosque (converted from a church and currently under renovation) and has one the most fabulous views of Golden Horn and Bosphorus. It's calm, serene and... If you are looking for a nice, silent but quality restaurant with traditional food, than this the place. The restaurant, that belongs to one of the largest holding companies in Turkey, was previously part of a Byzantine church complex in this area, which is now a UNESCO Heritage Site. The outdoor garden with the comfortable couches is great place to recline... More
