This restaurant is located right next to the main sites in Old Town which usually means it would be a rip off, but in this case totally worth it. They have an amazing patio area shaded by trees and an attentive wait staff. We went for lunch on a very hot day in between touring and the shade and Turkish... More

Our guide brought us here for relief from the more touristy restaurants near the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, etc., and it was a nice little breather. The food was decent -- the stuffed pumpkin blossoms and kebabs were very good -- but more importantly it offered a nice, shady respite from the tourist attractions.

Food was great, we ordered several appetizers, all tasty, reasonably priced. Would recommend eating here, licensed too.

First of all, the restaurant is beautiful! Even on a warm June afternoon, the abundant trees in the garden offer shade to the weary traveler and let the breeze in. The food was fresh, the flavors were authentic. Definitely try the Cereal Salad - it is perfect! The servers were funny and very attentive - a great experience!

I just visited the Medusa House restaurant by chance. Was looking for something different and I found it. Beautiful Garden Setting. Nice menu in many languages. I had the veal. Beautifully cooked and complimented the crisp Turkish white wine. Very good service. Very friendly and helpful. I finished with the chocolate sponge cake and ice cream. Wonderful. A little bit... This restaurant was across the street from the Hagia Sophia. Despite this tourist trap location, the food was very good and the prices reasonable considering the where it is. The service was friendly and attentive. We ate outside under awnings and there were full toilet facilities. I've had better Turkish food elsewhere in Istanbul, but for a quick lunch in... More

We loved House of Medusa so much, we ate there two nights out of three! I would highly recommend both the lamb shish kebab and karniyarik, and my travel companion had the chicken shish kebab both times! There's nothing more to say really, it was good service, lovely indoor and outdoor areas, and the food was the best.

Ate there the first night we arrived and the last night. The outside patio is beautiful. It was decorated well and just as charming as you could imagine. The food-really pretty good. The Baba Ganoush (sp!!!) was really fabulous. I had lamb once and the shrimp casserole the other time. Very good.

Good choice of food, well cooked and very attentive service. Tried this restaurant twice during our stay in Istanbull, very good each time - even though they were very busy. Would recommend and would return.

No, looking at this restaurant's menu will not turn you to stone. The title is a reference to the house speciality, the Medusa Kebab, a three-meat monster of a dish (chicken, veal and lamb) which is simply delicious. As a whole, the menu includes all that is best in Turkish culinary tradition and offers good value. We were half the... More
