Walked in off the street and had breakfast there every day of our stay. Honest pricing. Good service. Delicious bread rolls and baked goods not to mention sweets. Good coffee.

Having bought some pastries here on a previous visit I was delighted to find it again, and took the opportunity to sit down at one of the tables inside to linger over a Turkish coffee, cherry pastry (large) and pistachio pastry. My friend had coffee and baklava. Everything was excellent including the friendly service. A million times better than you'll... More

Just went by this shop and we wanted breakfast. Nice food and did service. We've bought some cookies for the road and those were great too.

We walked past this pastry shop numerous times while we were in Istanbul. In the end we succumbed and went in for dessert and coffee. Both were very nice and the service was good. We did however find it a little expensive.

Walked by and decided to try the desserts as they looked really good on display outside. No one welcomed us when we walked in even though there were two guys standing by the door. We wanted to get just a few pieces to take away and after standing there for quite some time, the guy by the door finally decided... More

Just up the street from the Basilica Cistern and Hagia Sophia, this cafe became a regular pit stop during my few days in Istanbul. Nice pleasant cafe with a very selection of pastries. I became hooked on the Chocolate Profiterole cake.

We visited cigdem for a quick coffee and deserts. The place is quiet small and seating area for less than 20 persons but good display of deserts. Service was quick. We had strawberry tart and festig drum baklava with coffee. It was realy nice. It is located on main road near sultan ahmet tram metro station.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
