I found this place by accident after leaving a bookstore on that same street. Once I found this place, there was never a need to go anywhere else. I was only in Istanbul for 3 days but I went to this bakery 4 times. Amazing everything! The staff was friendly (and funny!). They tolerated my honest attempts to speak Turkish... More

We found this place by chance. It was a great "accident", delicious sweets at reasonable notice and smiling staff!

This is the best baklava we had on our trip. Better than Hafiz Mustafa and another place I don't recall the name of at the moment. It's near Sultan Ahmet park so it is easy to stop by after dinner as you take in the surroundings, hear the call, watch LED helicopter toys slowly fall to the ground, listen to... More

There is no way you can walk past this bakery, look into the display window, and keep going. The pastries are beautiful and fresh. I had a strawberry tart the size of a softball. Fresh fruit, creamy center, flaky crust. Finished it off with English tea. It made for a perfect refueling stop. I enjoyed several such bakeries and this... More

A great place to visit to try chicken breast pudding - a sweet milk pudding made with fine shreads of chicken breast. A gtrat variety of sweet treats including baclava and Turkish delight. Western style coffee (American style), Turkish coffee and tea and herbal teas also avaiable.

I allways shop at Cigdem before I leave for the airport. The pastries make a nice present home where you can share the tastes of Istanbul with your family. You can also buy good provisions to your flight if you are flying budget. The shop will pack all nicely in their orange boxes.

The food here is excellent and very well priced. I had sandwiches from here a few times while in Istanbul and they never failed to dissapoint. The place looks great with a wide assortment of sweets and pastries that I didn't try. Be wary of the coffe though, I has a very dissapointing cappacino the first time I was here... More

in 3 day I come here 3 time. For breakfast or just for a delicious snack it's the same. Here you can relax yourself and eat a good cake while drink a chai. Central, very good and cheapest. Do you need other?
