Nice change to 'ask' for a table rather than being 'enticed' in a 1001 different ways. Food, ambience and service very good with an historic ending - cellars of Grand Palace. One of the better in Sultanahmet.

We went there after reading reviews in trip adviser. Were very pleased with the service, food and atmosphere. Would highly recommend if you are veggie like my family.

We had dinner here on our first night in Istanbul at the recommendation of our hotel. Huge mistake! There are tons of little restaurants on the street, and some of them are very aggressive about getting you in, so we were relieved to have this recommendation and not have to think. We sat up on the terrace, and the beginning... More

This was an oasis in a very touristy area. The food and staff were wonderful and we were able to escape the persistent cigarette smoke at other restaurants. We liked it so much, we went back three times. An added bonus is the excavation of ruins through a side door of the restaurant.

The best place to enjoy the country , the culture and traditional Turkish food. Great atmosphere created by every detail, especially by the staff I mean the best waiter Drej Mehmet and his way for tailor craft service. Food was excellent and what is very interesting old church next to restaurant.

This is a very nice restaurant. The waiter Drej Mehment looked after us very well. We went a number of times during our stay in istanbul. From the restaurant you can see the ancient underground ruins where the Byzantine Magnaura Palace once presided.

We stopped for lunch and were very disappointed, the restaurant needed a good clean. The food was definitely not fresh, with rotten lemon pieces on the salad. The main course was Luke ward and certainly not freshly prepared. Plenty of other restaurants around.

My parents and their friends had dined here a few weeks ago - and based on their recommendation I booked a table. It is on the road behind the Blue Mosque and was quite popular. The waiting staff were very friendly and attentive without being too "in your face"! (I dined alone). The food was lovely; I had a kebab...a... More
