We visited this restaurant twice for dinner in our 6.5 day stay in The Sultanahamet District of Istanbul. As we had tired of Kebabs and Pide, the Albura provided a varied selection of distinctly Turkish foods. Please do try any dish with the eggplant purée - you will wonder why we can't get this at home. Yum. Service was attentive,... More

Although, I'm not a vegetarian, I was in a group that had two vegetarians. This place fit their bill and they loved it. The meze plates and the lentil soup are highlights. The service is also fantastic here.

We loved this place and ended up eating there three times during our stay in Istanbul. Relaxed, friendly service, great food and the house wine is very drinkable. We really enjoyed the 'testi kebab' which they bring out in the cooking pot on the fire and make a little performance out of serving it. Delicious, both the lamb and the... More

We visited this place based on the good reviews and ratings on Tripadvisor. The food is very decent and the prices are not too bad. The staff were attentive and helpful. I recommend this place.

The mezze salad platter was good so the disappointing entrees were a surprise. My husband's chicken was over cooked, dry and tough. My lamb took forever to chew. And I could not taste the saffron in my dish. Was it really there? So we spent about $70 (including wine) and left feeling annoyed. Service was basic and not warm.

We spent 6 wonderful days in Istanbul and we enjoy restaurants where you can browse the menu without any one telling you- you must come in! We walked by the Albura and saw a sign that said: no hassle! That caught my eye, we walked in and that was the beginning of a delightful evening! We were there in December,... More

I had lunch today at Albura Kathisma on the recommendation of a friend, and it didn't disappoint. The bread, which was given to me for free at the beginning of the meal, was one of the best Turkish breads I've had - really light and tasty. The shrimp casserole was delicious and the halloumi salad was also very good, fresh... More
