Authentic and deliciious Turkish experience

Visited for lunch in a group. The mixed mezes with flatbreads were excellent but the stars of the show were the two big round platters piled high with a mixed grill on roasted bulgar wheat with vegetables and more mini breads. All absolutely delicious.

We had dinner here based on previous reviews. We paid a measly 58 TL for a huge, huge meal for two including two large meat platters, bread, ayraan, soft drinks and starters. The food was fresh, delicious and the lamb is sublime. Strongly recommended if you want a local experience and are hungry. Service was super attentive and food was... More

If you are in istanbul you must try this place. From grand bazaar its 20 minute of walk away. Their food will make you forget everything else. During our 10 day stay in istanbul we tried so many different food places in taksim and sultanahmet but this one comes on top. The prices are very reasonable plus the food and... More

This is one of the restaurants that Michael Bourdain reviewed on his TV programme. The programme instigated our trip to Istanbul so we really wanted to go there. They were super friendly the food was really good we had kebabs various types, with lamb of course and was excellent they also did what they called a pilaf which was like... More

I went there twice. On the first time, I was on my own. I struggled to find the entrance, a neighbour indicated it with a sign of the head. Nobody to welcome me. Nobody in the room. I walked upstairs to another room. Tables, but no customers, and no staff. I picked a table in the middle of the room,... More

We ordered 5-7 differebt portions. It was too much but wanted to try different combinations. Was absolutely worth eating in this place. Only locals. Cheap but well cooked. If you are in the Neigbourhood a must place to eat. Don't see mush Tourist s but thats what we wanted.

Most of the restaurants in and around the main areas of Istanbul are tourist traps with mediocre yet expensive food - even the ones with high ratings and positive reviews on TripAdvisor. This place hit the stop and I highly recommend it. We got the Shish Tawook and the Tomato Kebab, and they were both out of this world. No... More

Got here quite late, almost midnight after tracking this place down, admittedly we didn't start looking till very late. It was quiet but the staff were very helpful indeed and steered us towards the specialities. The Sur Tava (lamb/green peppers) was excellent and the fresh Ayraan (yoghurt drink) was great to help wash it down. No alcohol served but we... More
