We visited for afternoon tea. We both chose a type of baklava. My husband had earl grey tea (which turned out to be green tea with bergamot) and I tried my first turkish coffee which I asked to be sweetened. The coffee wasn't nearly as bitter as expected. The baklava were delicious and not nearly as sweet as the ones... More

From the outside it looks like heaven on earth, but the items are quite a let down - very pleasant to the eye but nothing special.

We had hot chocolate, lemonade, baklava and chocolate cake. Each item was superb and served with a smile. Would definitely recommend.

We dropped in for our evening treat. Not fancy looking on the outside, but very nice inside. Wonderful selection of sweets and teas. This is a family business going back to 1864. We had a portion of mini eclaires and a raspberry pudding with tea for 18TL.

Walked past it twice before I succumbed to the beautiful treats on display and went upstairs to sit down and enjoy a Turkish coffee and amazing delight. Nice way to take a load off when in the midst of things.

The Istanbul Train Station, European side, is nearby, as is a busy tram stop just one station down from the Sultanahmet area, so this cafe is very central. Also a short walk to the New Mosque and Spice Bazaar. Excellent selection of baklava and other sweets, plus some Turkish snacks and puddings. We sat outside to relax and people-watch, but... More
