Very tasty pastry

We haven't eaten there as in the caffe, only bought some sweets to bring home. I was worried whether they resist, but was assured by the personnel that it conserves well. After more than a month when we finally open the box, lokum was still very tasty.

You could visit every night for a fortnight and still have not had your fill of beautiful cakes, sweets and pastries. Great way to spend some time in the evening, without heading to a bar

We saw 3 Hafiz mustafa shops in istanbul - one opposite blue mosque, one at a corner of serkezi, and one at taksim square. We tasted from former 2. Baklavas were the royal to be tasted. Mouthwatering and simply delicious. Turkish delights were also a different experience. They said, it will last for 2 months. Kunafa - we did not... More

I was in Istanbul for over 10 days, during which I went to Hafiz Mustafa almost every other day. If you have to order one thing only then definitely order their most amazing Kunefe which is basically melted cheese topped with fried dough soaked in sugary syrup with saffron flavor and topped with Pistachio. UMMMM. If you have time then... More

Best baklava ever. Hands down the best. Grab boxes for home. Try the pudding. Amazing. Awe inspiring sweets. I wish I had more space in my luggage.

I felt like a kid in a candy store here! Everything looks so delicious and so pretty. We had to come back a second time during our 5-day stay in Istanbul. Our group of four ordered various desserts to share: chocolate baklava, trilece, this green tube-shape dessert, ice cream and Turkish coffee. We could've licked each plate cleaner if we... More

Located at taksim square, worth the visit if you are nearby and have free time. For those who like to taste the Turkish coffee, make sure to order it explicitly without sugar. It seems that in Turkey, coffee is usually served sweet.

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
