We like this part of Sultanahmet - it's a short walk away from the big attractions and has a lovely buzzy atmosphere. The service is very good at this restaurant and the staff are genuinely keen to please. The food is decent and all tastes are catered for.

We had a very good time, enjoyed the food and especially the hospitality. We liked the fact that the restaurant was close to our accommodation in Sultanahmet and that it was open late in the evening. Try it!

Very friendly and competent staff. My GF is a vegetarian so sometimes its hard to find a decent meal in Istanbul, the manager was very knowledgeable and advised accordingly! They also put on a great show when cooking and serving! Take the dish that comes in a clay pot That they seal and then breakoff the tip and serve it!... More

Food was excellent quality but the shift manager, Orhan, was extremely pushy to ask us to put a review on Tripadvisor. Once or twice is enough but to constantly ask was a bit much. The majority of these restaurants are visited by tourists due to the location therefore the business from Tripadvisor important to them, my advice would be let... More

We stayed at the Terrace guesthouse up the road from Aloran restuarant which we frequented more than once good! Great owner and staff alike! We will definitely return when we are in Turkey again. Our 8 year old daughter which they refered to as Princess will remember the restuarant for the rest of her life! Thanks once again guys!

We ate lunch at this restaurant as a family, we went a few times Alora excellent main courses were very super service, Veysel is great, approachable and extremely helpful, but it was delicious with a variety of dining options! In particular, in addition to good manners bovine meat and fish dishes eggplant! Everyone needs to go to the Absolute ...

The staff in Aloran were exceptionally friendly! They were helpful and showed us what the different dishes were and explained things very well. The food was delicious and three of us ordered the testy kebabs (cooked and served in clay pots). The presentation of these was wonderful with the fire pit and opening the pots with the knife/sword. The fourth... More

It's a touristic restaurant in a touristic area, populated by tourists, and managed as a place that caters for tourists (incl the sweet, but standard greetings and jokes etc). Now, don't get me wrong; there is nothing wrong with this place, and the food was ok:ish. However, if someone brought me there and told me that this was rated as... More
