The food was excellent. The "host" was really nice. And the food was 9+. We paid 12,5 euro/person for food. You need to eat here.

Came here for a late night snack, and ended very happy. Great service from Apo and the tastiest food yet in Istanbul. We'll be back for more!

We stopped by the Aloran Resturaunt after visiting the Palace. We ordered soup and a main meal. The lamb was very tender. The service was quick. The bread was freshly baked. Try the pomegranate sauce on the bread - it's delicious.

As with the Shadow we dined here, based on Trip Advisor recommendations, on our last evening. Had we dined earlier during our stay I am sure we would have returned. We enjoyed the best meal and service of our stay (and the cheapest wine) and the atmosphere was very good too. It obviously caters for the tourist market, rather than... More

I stopped in at Aloran many times during my stay in Istanbul. Whether I was simply having Turkish coffee or a glass of wine alone, or a delicious meal with friends, the staff was incredibly courteous. Abdullah went above and beyond to make recommendations, explain the menu, and offer cay or Turkish delight after the meal. I have already recommended... More

This restaurant was not smart but had traditional dishes with a lot of flavour. We had kebab and the meat was tender with amazing char-grilled and spice taste. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a bit of theatre too. Some customers had a stew cooked in a terracotta pot in hot ashes; the waiter would slice off... More

My wife and I visited the Aloran twice in our five day stay in Istanbul. We had taken info about them from his site, with others. This was so good we went back again. The atmosphere was incredible, the staff, wonderful, and the food exceptional. I have never previously tasted such fantastic lamb chops. All in all, five star treatment... More
