Right next to the Four Seasons, this restaurant serves top quality food in a friendly atmosphere at very reasonable pricing. The staff speak a number of languages, are knowledgeable when it comes to allergies (gluten and dairy) and serve the best dinners at the going price point. It is the only place we returned to (no insult to the others)... More

Hidden gem on the other side of the monuments. Food made fresh and tasty. But the wait is well worth it. Try the pahanga and Manti (Turkish ravioli). Top it off with some baklava and ice cream for a delicious Turkish feast.

There are so many restaurants in Sultanahmet let alone Istanbul that using Trip Advisor can be overwhelming, so skip the hassle and go straight here! We had originally planned to go to a restaurant around the corner but they were full so the gentleman at the door suggested we try Aloran. I'm glad we did, the service was very friendly... More

We stopped by this place for lunch. Food was delicious, staff were very friendly and the service was great. We were given a free appetizer and turkish sweets and offered free turkish tea. Recommend this place.

We had a very good service here and the food was very tasty. We had a turkish ravioli and testi kebab. The last one was served with a little show in advance. You also can drink some wine and beer here. As we went home, we recieved an eye of Medusa as present. A place to visit.

We loved the attentive and friendly staff, tasty wholesome food and relaxed atmosphere. They have a great deal of pride in their restaurant and it rubs off on their customers.

Being so close to the Four Seasons in Sultanahmet, we landed here a few days ago to try something traditional. We skipped the kebabs and tried their Pida, which is the Turkish version of pizza. Excellent choice! The staff is very friendly and they remembered us the second and third time we went to this restaurant. Just to explain when... More

The food was great, the price was much better than many other places in the area (near the Hagia Sofia/ Blue Mosque), and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. While other places hasseled foreigners to come in, the staff here invited us to come in, and we were welcomed from start to finish.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
