Very good and casual

This place is so good, we ate here twice. The owners are friendly and fun and speak good english. Order the hummus and bread and use the oils they provide with it (oil and pomegranate vinegar). so good! The chicken casserole is really good. After reading alot of good reviews on tripadvisor, we decided to give it a try but ended up being disappointes. The waited served us the wrong dish, but we didnt know that at the time, so i scooped the chicken from the serving plate onto my plate which i previously used for appetizers. After taking a few bites, the waiter... More

There were a ton of restaurants in this area, and we really were happy we chose Aloran. The food was delicious, and the service was great. Definitely get the manti!

Great service, lovely seafood starter and hummus along with the large pitta bread. Would recommend the Aloran mixed grill plate for 2.. Perfectly cooked selection of meat. Nice touch with the Turkish tea, delight and small souvenir! 5/5

This is a lovely restaurant serving local, carefully prepared Turkish foods. There was plenty for vegetarians. The staff members were friendly, shared their perspectives on life in Turkey, and even helped us learn the local language.

Mouth watering Kebabs and a real tasty dessert ( forget the name) looked like sweet rolled up vermicelli covered in honey- Deliciously sweet. Try the breads too- very different to the world popular Indian Naan breads. Service is quick and food very reasonable. If you looking for romantic ambiance then go someplace else. This place is nothing but great food... More

Excellent help, very well cooked and presented food. No overselling by waiter just attentive to our needs. My wife required a zero coke, they bought it at a local store especially. Prices commensurate with standards and better value than others in old town Istanbul.

My boyfriend and I walked by Aloran on our way back to our hotel. The next evening we decided to give it a try. The atmosphere, service, and food was fantastic. We started with calamari and shared a lamb dish as well as the mousaka. Both dishes were delicious and full of veggies which we have been missing on our... More

We went for appetizers. The bread with olive oil and pomegranate was delicious and filling. We couldn't even have dinner. They gave us some complimentary tea, Turkish delights, and an evil eye to take home.
