I have read multiple positive reviews about this restaurant so when we were selecting a good place for dinner I proposed Aloran. We did not regret any minute! The food was so delicious (best meat with vegetables in the pot ever) I was ready to eat my plate:) Great service, very friendly staff and a really good location - couple... More

Very good experience - we had the meze plate, testy kebab and some apple tea with turkish delight. Staff was attentive and food was authentic and flavorful.

We ate at the Aloran restaurant on our first evening in Istanbul. After checking into our nearby hotel, we walked about looking for a restaurant that would satisfy both the meat eaters and vegetarians in our group. Their menu has vegetarian dishes clearly marked and there were many options. The host was friendly but not overly pushy compared to the... More

I rocked up at 6 pm, with the place empty. The staff was readying for dinner time. I picked the menu, chose and food came pretty quick. The presentation was ok, the silverware, table, glasses are all looking good. The staff all looked miserable. Reading other reviews, I thought the staff will be a bit more upbeat. Maybe try when... First time we found this place in 2008. And it became a good tradition to visit this café each and every time we are in this city. Nice food, nice service and firm-style bread! We only issue - not possible to smoke shisha more (2 year ago you could do it :)) - but it's because of this new law.... More

We nearly didn't go in as the restaurant looked very quiet and lacking in ambience, but were very glad we did. The food was lovely and the service was excellent. We enjoyed chatting with our waiter - he wouldn't have been able to if the place had been busier. He was very concerned that we had a good dining experience... More

We chose the place because of Trip Advisor reviews and were very happy of the result. The food was excellent, the price reasonable, stuff just nice and not too overwhelming and intruding. Absolutely loved the free gift I got from the restaurant at the end of the meal, a souvenir. Not sure what I am going to use it for,... More

Just around the corner from the hostel I found this restaurant. I was welcomed warmly (as I am sure one is in all restaurants in Istanbul), and the food I ordered was delicious. The service was good and the waiters really friendly, even though I am a much older woman. The next night, after walking for ages around looking for... More

We did the research on Trip Advisor before chosing the Aloran for dinner with our family. Was it the best meal I've ever had, no, but it was very good and very well cooked. The appetizer tray was fine but the rest of the food was very good. That being said the service was excellent. When you walk in they... More
