For a fun evening out with friends and good food, fantastic scenery looking out over the harbour watching the boats as the sun sets Liman Lokantasi Tavern is a great place. On Friday evenings there is belly dancing at the end of your meal. The food is simple but tasty, due to our large group(14) we ate off a fixed... More

Looking over vosporous, top kapi and hagia sofia all painted in red and orange as the sun sets, enjoying a glass of house white and perfectly grilled sea bass. Simply fantastic. It is just fish but it is done well. The service is competent, professional, efficient. Try it!

Liman Lokantası has a good view, average service and delicious taste. It's located in the centre of town, near the harbour.

This place was recommended to us by young couple from Istanbul as their favorite. The entrance was a bit hard to find. The view from the third floor on the Bosporus and the city is terrific. The service is good the food is good but not extraordinary. The location is a place to be for (mostly younger) Istanbul people. When... More

My wife comes from Istanbul, so as to our wedding we decided to do it here in Istanbul, in Liman Lokantasi. It was just amazing, the views, atmosphere and quality of food and service was just perfect. All of our guests were enchanted. We were promised by manager a complimentary dinner on our next visit to Istanbul, as we don't... More

Go there for a good honest meal and good service. We paid 40 euro for starters, main course and drinks. There is no terras where you can eat contrary to what the pictures make you believe but the experience was authentic.

It is a wierd place to find for sure ... but once there the view of the Istanbul skyline and the Bosphorus is great. It is sort of like getting to an illicit speakeasy .... Meze good, main course fish was delicious. Didn't need the seafood course in between - deep fried squid was very chewy and I can't remember... More

Staying in Karakoy

Neighborhood Profile
Karakoy
Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at the mouth of the Golden Horn. Perhaps the city’s most historically significant area, it’s currently one of the most happening parts of town as well. Here street vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks of the Horn where the views of major attractions across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions, such as the iconic 14th century Galata Tower and the Museum of Modern Art. A major hub for local and international waterborne traffic, Istanbul’s commercial and maritime heritage remains as relevant and evident as ever in Karakoy. Commuter ferries mingle with luxury cruise liners at its busy port, ensuring a continuously cosmopolitan flow of people..
