Cheap, authentic eats!

Beautiful, authentic Turkish eats! The Gozleme (Turkish pancake with savoury fillings) is a must! Staff very accommodating and friendly.

We've been in Istanbul for more than a week now, I rate this restaurant to be one of the ones in the lower end. I went to this place based on the positive reviews I read on tripadviser, but experienced a below average restaurant. Perhaps they were good some days, but definitely not now. The restaurant was empty around 1:30pm;... More

Probably the best Ayran (Turkish Buttermilk) I've ever tasted after eating at many other restaurants. Good hospitality and the place is cute!

Very interesting Turkish national style interior! Home-made food, good assortment, first time I came here for breakfast was superb, but the next day, quality and the taste of the same order was not good at all, one of the dish we asked even to take back cause it smelled awful. So everything depends on your luck))maybe u will taste very... More

After hunting for a Gozalme we stumbled across this little resturant just off the main street in Galata (down from Taskim Square). All I can say is it was amazing. We watched it being made in the traditional style before it was brought to the table. It was certainly more than a pancake and every visitor to Istanbul should try... More

My wife and I found this restaurant advertising Gozleme just off the main drag in Istanbul. We had been surprised during our visit to this huge city that we had not seen Gozleme on any other menus until then. Not only did we get fantastic tasty food, we were also given a great show as the lovely ladies gave us... More

you need to step out from Sultan Ahmed and tourist area to taste something true Turkish food. This was one of the good places to eat. Cheap and good food.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
