We wandered in off of Istiklal St after not being able to find our recommended spot. However, we were not disappointed by choosing Marko Pasa. The flatbreads made by the lady in the window were delicious beyond description. They Chicken & the Beef Kavrum were also a treat; a huge plate of chicken, vegetables and rice served in a well... Sometimes it is not so easy to find good food in foreign countries because menus are so complicated and names of the food do not tell anything. In this restaurant we told the waiter what we want to eat and he understood our needs perfectly. I have never had so good food in Turkey. We got two large plates full... More

Not so clean but picturesque. Very good and tasty food. Manti was great here. A good thing is that you can have a beer or a glass of good Turkish wine accompanying the food.

I've just indulged one of those with spinach and feta cheese and I really enjoyed it! I didn't try anything else from the menu cause I took it away. The concept of the lady in front of the restaurant who makes the pancakes and the ravioli straight ahead it was really tempting and made me order one. I would try... More

We came in during our walk on the main street. The lady making the dough in the window was quiet promising and the place didn't disappoint us. Everything was really authentic and tasty. The big selection plate of mezze is highly recommended and it's a good idea to try the gözleme which is the specialty of the place (freshly made... More

After having so much trouble avoiding fake restaurants near Taksim (I mean, places where they would charge you for whatever they want + bad service), I was so happy to find a decent restaurant which serves great food. Everything is cooked in front of you. We didn't wait long to be served. The value for money is very good. Location... More

If you are not hungry and don't mind what you eat, you have come to the right place. I think after having a fame they don't mind how they serve and cook.It was the longest waiting for a dinner in my life. (against my order was after the rush hour for dinner) I (and also my friends ) think that... More

We stumbled upon this amazing restaurant while exploring side streets off Istiklal caddesi. The decor is very ethnic and it feels very cosy. They hardly speak english but the service is great. Definitely try the gozleme- the speciality of the place (which is like a thin stuffed parantha). You will see a lovely turkish lady sitting in the front of... More

Went there 3 times during our trip to Istanbul. Wonderful pancakes. Very nice service. Owner speaks multiple languages. Turns out that she went to university in our home time... Not pushy like many other restaurants on the arts. Lots of locals ate there as well, always a good sign.
