After going to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, my friends and I were brought to this place by our tour guide. This place is really famous for its kofte, and it was full of customers eagerly waiting for hot meals to be served. The bread and salad served were good. They gave us all ayran too. The izgara kofte... More

This operation is at least there floors high, the narrow haphazardly designed staircases are a testament to the way it expanded over years. Noisy, packed with hungry eager customers. The menu is a total of about 8 items long including the lentil corba soup and deserts. The famous Kofta- elswere called kebab meat balls served with pickled peppers , the alternative... More

Read about this place in "Istanbul eats - Exploring the coulinary backstreets" as the place to try kofte. Well I didn't eat kofte anywhere else, but this one was really good. Like really good. The red spice sauce is a must. The place looks authentic and old. The service is really quick and the prices are great for city center.... More

Simple and classic menu. The main dish is the classic meat kofte. Everybody that go to Istanbul must have the experience of this taste.

Excellent meatballs and lamb.Do not forget to add the spicy red sauce! this makes the trick. Salads are fresh. It does not have a large menu, but everything is good quality. The staff is extremely friendly, even when my son splash ketchup all around. The rice pudding is also good.

Traditional meatballs in a very convenient location in the middle of the old city. Always tasty. But don't expect elegant service because this is simply a historical meatball restaurant. (But prompt service) Have the dry beans salad which is called PIYAZ, with vinegar. Enjoyed it (this time and frankly every time I visited ) Bon apetit:)

if you like Turkish cuisine, "i wonder why anybody would not!" you just have to do this. Starting from the location, the ambiance of east meets west is writ large and very welcome. from the ample rich history plastered on and adorning the walls of the eatery to the scene out the wide windows and medium sized portions of absolutely... I like the fact that despite their obvious advantageous location, that they didn't get ahead of themselves here as I'd half expected. Polite, courteous and with great service, its a great little ocation and with simple tasty food to boot. You get exactly what is on the pictures on the menus - no language barriers here, especially if you speak... More

On a cold and rainy day their lentil soup was very welcome. Kofte was tasty and juicy. Service was the quickest i've ever experienced. Accept the red sauce that is offered with beef. I did't find it too spicy.
