Finding a typical restaurant, with no tourists trap in Sultanhamet is a big issue. Our hotel adviced us about this place: we trust him, and now we are happy to have done. Dishes are cooked on the fire, they are very tasty and very well-cooked. We took two Lamb Kofte, one fries and two bottles of water (plus the service):... More

Salads in a puddle of water, French fries warmed over. Recommended by DK Eyewitness, not a reliable source apparently.

We were walking down Divanyolu Caddesi looking for a nice place to dine in so we asked a couple of local girls where we could go. They told us this nice place, but to tell the truth we went to the one in front of Sultanahmet tramvay station, which is smaller and less touristic. We ate very well; the atmosphere... More

This restaurant is a little off the usual tourist route, but was close to where we were staying so we just happened to stop by. The restaurant was stylish and the food was great - and good value for money too! The waiters were welcoming and we were recognised on our return. This place is great for a good quality... More

It could seem like a turkish fastfood joint and the food came within 2-3 min. But the taste was fantastic. Perfect grilled both kofte and lamb. It was cheap, but remember they dont serve alcohol. Try the Ayran (yoghurt) to drink since the food is a bit spicy. This place is a "must".

Being used to some of the best Turkish restaurants in London, was a bit disappointed with some of the places we visited in Istanbul. This place was one of them, it was ok, but nothing special. Menu was very limited in my opinion. Ordered kofte and lamb shish as our mains, the former was good but the shish was terrible,... More

The restaurant was extremely busy when we went for lunch and dinner during my five night stay in Istanbul, but they had plenty of waiters and they communicated efficiently between them to seat us without a long wait. The menu is simple yet satisfying. Possibly pricier compared to other restaurants we visited, but it is definitely worth the experience. Their... More

They have two main dishes on the menu and with a side of spice they are divine. Both the meatballs (which are flat) and lamb kebab (cubes) are done just right. Simple yet delicious order a side of rice and fries and enjoy with Turkish bread and pickled chillies. Add the fleas pepper paste to taste and wash it down... More

Got a Ramazan special of a kofte on a bun and Ayran for 9 TL. Sandwich was very tasty and freshly prepared. Great value for a quick lunch.

I liked the variety of grilled food and the different taste of rice. I disliked the price! I think it was exaggerated somewhat.
