Delicious, wonderful service. Simple atmosphere. A must stop for meatballs during your visit. Would definitely go again.
It's a very simple cafe with the best kebab I've ever ate. Turkish cusine is famouse with their meat dishes and has a lot of kinds of doners, kebabs, koftas and this is a very right place to have it. The choice is not too big, but you can be sure that you'll have freshest delicious dish. On the 2nd... More
Nice place, very good food, very friendly people. Love it. I could go there almost every day. I actually did. Visited it four times in a five days stay.
This place has the best kofte (grilled meatballs) ever. The meat was so tender and the spice was so flavorful it's making the mouth water just thinking about it. Also get the chili sauce. It's a little on the spicy side but oh so good. I can eat bread and that chili sauce all day long. By far my favorite... More
Sultanahmet restaurants provide top-quality food at a great value in a casual neighborhood atmosphere. Ended up eating here most nights on our holiday as whenever we tried elsewhere we were just disappointed. foods are amazing and so cheap. There aren't many places in town where I want to go again and again, but I'm adding Sultanahmet koftecisi to my list.
This is the ‘Historical Sultanahmet Meatballs Restaurant’ promising the ‘best Izgara Köfte in town’ in a restaurant which originally ‘created’ them. The decor hasn’t changed over the years and the restaurant is housed in several floors, each floor completely jam packed with locals and tourists. The menu is very simple with a choice of Izgara Köfte; the Piyaz salad made... More
We went there because it was supposed to be the best kofte but the kofte was cold and overly buttery (the butter of choice was margarine)... We ordered also some pickled peppers and after we did not eat them all we watched them going back to the kitchen in order to be served to another customer as was our bread.
This venerable cafe is a great spot to land before/after/during a long day of sightseeing in Sultanahmet. It offers a limited menu prepared well with very fresh ingredients. Service is fast and welcoming. I love that they haven't changed the decor in years - this is a little slice of old-time hospitality. Take out available.
This place, we only went into, because it was recommended to us. It doesn't look much, but there are several floors and it is usually packed with locals. The kofte is very very good. Spirs/shish not so good, very fatty. Yuk! I would recommend going there for lunch, after sightseeing at the Blue Mosque.
