Best kefta in town. Really wow and service is really fast. I would totally recommend it, you have to eat at this restaurant at least once.

Known for its history, it was a “must” that we ate at Sultanahmet Koftecisi! For a tourist, it’s in a perfect location and offers classic Turkish foods at a very reasonable cost! Just minutes, walking, from Blue Mosque/Hagia Sofia. And, there’s even a tramvay stop right in front of the restaurant. We ate there for a late dinner, we were... More

Mostly locals, nice short menu - really good köfte and very good spice paste. Quick service, very rapid turnover and nicely done inside - with a traditional feel. It's not a 5 star restaurant, but it is good value.

Of all the touristy places, locals do still come to this place. Its famous for its deep fried mince kebabs. I would stick to the kofte, though the shish kebabs aren't bad either. They have a nuce terrace to sit in for summer time.

Sultanahmet Köftecisi was recommended by locals, reinforced by the guide at Sultanahmet mosque, but cautioned about going to this one as the name is a generic one, and there is more than one in the area. This one claims to have been around for 94 years and the meatball is the specialty. We enjoyed the food, added the spice paste... More

Finding a typical restaurant, with no tourists trap in Sultanhamet is a big issue. Our hotel adviced us about this place: we trust him, and now we are happy to have done. Dishes are cooked on the fire, they are very tasty and very well-cooked. We took two Lamb Kofte, one fries and two bottles of water (plus the service):... More

Salads in a puddle of water, French fries warmed over. Recommended by DK Eyewitness, not a reliable source apparently.

We were walking down Divanyolu Caddesi looking for a nice place to dine in so we asked a couple of local girls where we could go. They told us this nice place, but to tell the truth we went to the one in front of Sultanahmet tramvay station, which is smaller and less touristic. We ate very well; the atmosphere... More

This restaurant is a little off the usual tourist route, but was close to where we were staying so we just happened to stop by. The restaurant was stylish and the food was great - and good value for money too! The waiters were welcoming and we were recognised on our return. This place is great for a good quality... More

It could seem like a turkish fastfood joint and the food came within 2-3 min. But the taste was fantastic. Perfect grilled both kofte and lamb. It was cheap, but remember they dont serve alcohol. Try the Ayran (yoghurt) to drink since the food is a bit spicy. This place is a "must".
