Both times I have visited Istanbul I have visited the Sultanahmet Fish House. It is slightly away from the main road bustle and has a lovely atmosphere and attentive staff. All the options are great but if you only visit one night of your trip then I would recommend the fish cooked in salt, not only is there a bit... More

This place is a short hop away from the main thoroughfare and so benefits from quieter atmosphere. We enjoyed our grilled and fried fish- fresh and simply cooked. ( fish, as usual, is expensive in comparison to meat dishes).

We had takeout from here our first night in Istanbul. It was just a few steps from our hotel: White House Hotel Istanbul. Great kababs. and rice.

A fish house situated at the central point between the grand bazaar and Yerebatan Sarnici (Basilica Cistern). The easiest way getting to this restaurant is by walking 5minutes from the Cistern, all the way into the road, and the restaurant is situated on your right at a corner. Charcoal-grilled whole seabass/seabream fresh from the sea garnished with rockets salad served... More

We ordered the white fish baked in salt and it was served dramatically with fire and then chiseled out of the salt! Best fish I've ever tasted! The owner of the restaurant is personable and reminded us of our favorite proprietor back home at Das Stein Haus--though the food was entirely different!

Went here with my husband for dinner and ordered the mixed fish plate for 2 ...more like for an entire family! Each type of fish was delicious and different. My husband is a big eater, but we had lots of leftovers. The staff was wonderful, kind, polite ...served us complimentary tea after our meal. We thought the dish was a... More

This restaurant was near our hotel and was recommended by a merchant so we tried it. The grilled sea bass was dry (we have been ordering this dish in many other restaurants) and theirs was dry although not fishy. The grilled tuna was a disappointment, no taste at all and was grayish brown in appearance. The fried mullet was not... More

Great taste of turkish dinner of Bosphorus fish. The staff was kind and food really good. I suggest to take the dessert: hot lust ice cream. It was literally outstanding.
