Good Lunch Spot in Sultanahmet

This very nice restaurant is just off the main street, right at the Sultanahmet tram stop. The food is excellent, the service is good, etc. Quite a surprising find in such a touristic area. They have outdoor seating, but there are also tables inside, including ones in a cosy room upstairs. We ate... read more

the menu is quite basic, the food was cold but the place is charming, full of foreigners. The impression in general was ok, but there are better places to visit and eat in Istanbul. Price is ok, but higher then average.

I chose this place because it was looking nice for the outside. They have different food option although the weitress was more in the hurry to leave than helping us to decide what to order (with certainly English communication problems). We end it up ordering an chef special dish. Quite small in portion for the high price and nothing spectacular.... More

An average meal, little slow on the service and a little on the expensive side for what we had. Location is interesting as it is in a converted house. Personally I would advise against ordering the 'selection of Turkish starters' as it seemed to be 6 balls of mush and we found it inedible. For mains I had kebab and... More

Really nice setting just a few minutes from Blue Mosque. Restaurant is in an old house, we ate downstairs in what may be the bar in the evenings, really good food and reasonably prices, would recommend.

Hi guys!!I had lunch in this restaurant with my ten friends during our New Year’s holidays in Istanbul. This restaurant is located in the center of Sultanahmnet very very close to the main monuments is this neighborhood Aya Sofia, Topkapi, Basilica Cisterna, Hippodrome, Moschea Blu. This thing means also that in this area there a lot of tourist restaurant that... More

I had my thanksgiving meal here (lamb kebab). A bit pricey but money well spent. The food is excellent, very tasty. The decor is cute as well. What I found the most annoying was there there is a alarm that sounded every couple minutes. Not sure if it's their smoke detector that needs a battery change or what. It just... More

I'd recommend this restaurant in an old, tall narrow house near the Haghia Sophia. It's in a small road lined with restaurants which are all trying to get you inside! In cold weather I'd recommend eating in the small basement room which was nice and warm, as I noticed going up to the rest rooms on the 2nd floor that... More

we sat outside as two in our group smoked. the street is busy but the terrace is calm and nice for people watching (and kitty watching too). we shared several mezes (all very tasty) and a nice chopped salad (tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, olive oil, lemon) - all of which were well prepared, generous in portion and very fresh and tasty....
