Good location in the old town, very close to the Aya Sofia. Service was very good, welcoming and attentive. Food was tasty. I'd recommend the spinach dish. Lovely hospitality tough when paying pill also.

This was by far the best "Ottoman cuisine" we had while in Istanbul. I put Ottoman cuisine in quotes because I'm not sure what it means. Are they differentiating it from Turkish cuisine? What's the difference? Which came first, the footstool or the food? I'm still confused. But it was dang good, the atmosphere was pleasant and the service was...

it was a lovely dinner with my gf there , and we are really apreciate of it.They are number 10 with their service , delicious dishes and reasonable prices.if you are in İstanbul dont forget to put a sign in this place.
We had a lovely meal for two here. The dishes were served well and the service was great. What confuses me is why you'd want to eat the same dishes that were served hundreds of years ago. Putting that aside, I'd recommend it.
This was our first introduction to Ottoman cuisine. The restaurant on top of a hotel has nice views and is quite popular. The main courses were good, but nothing all that special given that it was much more expensive than most other places we ate the entire week (except one restaurant Leb-I-Derya – Richmondwhere we had our best meal in...

The food here is simply delicious: the best Ottoman style cuisine with delicately spiced dishes and the occasional surprising and refreshing tart touch (try the pickled beetroot and walnut salad for instance or the stuffed vine leaves with sour cherries). The view is very nice, the service impeccable and despite the luxurious feel of this restaurant, it is surprisingly afforable....

I went to this place because of good reviews. it was not easy to get a table.
if you plane a short trip to Istanbul - it is better to book a table in advance.
the location, service, staff, view - all is fine, can not imagine who can complain about this place.
the terrace was not opened yet, but...

This place was recommended by a friend So I wanted something different from a doner kebab.
The restaurant is based in the heart of the old city of Sultan Ahmet.
We were greeted by the team captin Yasin Akdostu, we was seated in the open air part of the restaurant, as the weather was sunny, it was a touch!

As its name suggests, Matbah serves delectable dishes from Matbah-ı Beray-i (Kitchen of Sultan's Palace); a feast fit for royalty. Food was delicate and well thought out, I would recommend the sailor cheese, honeydew melon with chopped beef, white and black pepper, raisins, almonds and rice and the lamb shank! If weather allows, I would ask for a table on the rooftop...

I love Ottoman palace cuisine because it is delicate with some kind of very special ingredients which are very healthy and tastes unique.. Moreover, Matbah restaurant's ingridients are very high quality which is a "must" for the best result.
You can eat too much but you won't pay that much, because prices are really reasonable. Also, service personnel are very...
