Great healthy food and very affordable, 12TL each including mineral water. You can choose up to 5 from 15 or more different dishes. Lots of vegetarian options.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch and we were glad were did. It's a very simple place with communal tables that hold free bread and water. You go up to the counter, select from the pre-made dishes on offer that day (there were around 15 or so options) and they make you up a plate and bring it over... More

This is a very pleasant and cozy place with home cooking and the feel of a mom and pop operation. The food is mostly veggie but big you are a hard core vegetarian, ask what is in the dishes. They will have several trays on display and you pick what you want to fill your plate with. I had roast... More

They serve really delicious food. They don't have menu, you go to the counter, see all options and choose the food. You can choose many things so you can taste different food. My favorite is Pilaki. The price is low. The restaurant is pretty small that is why tables are connected. You sit with different people while you have your... More

This teeny-tiny corner place serves great, mostly vegetarian, foods. Highly recommended for those wanting delicious homecooked fare served quickly. Crunchy-granola atmosphere. It can be a little daunting for visitors since there are no signs or menus anywhere to guide you. Walk in, go to the back where there is a kitchen and steam table, and point out the dishes that... They serve very delicious food but they are not so typical Turkish. I could say it's basicly from Mediterranian and Agean region of Turkey .So even if you are Turkish you may find new tastes there. The place is cute and small, not so avaible for the big groups.

We were walkin' down the little streets of Istanbul when we all of a sudden passed by this lovely place called Helvetia. The concept is simple. No menu, just point out wich of the freshly made, mainly vegetarian dishes you want. Together with some bread they form a perfect meal for a very low price; highly recommended to everyone who... We went to this place to have a quick something to eat. You can choose from 10-15 dishes, ig you choose 5 it costs you around 12 TL. The staff is friendly and helpful, also speaks a litle english. The dishes are all right, they give small portions from everithing you've asked. There are no drinks, you can have tap... More

What a great little find. This was recommended in the Lonely Planet and after a disappointing recommend from the book for vegetarians that we experienced the day before, we were not expecting much. We checked it out for lunch and it was so nice. The cafe is small and has a really nice atmosphere on a back little street. It... More
