Nice Place Just of The Main Tourist Street

Although this restaurant is very close to the main tourist sites in Istanbul, it is not a place of tourist food and hustlers. We had a most pleasant lunch here. It is quiet, cosy venue; on a chilly Feb. day they had a log fire in the main dining area. We ordered a delicious prawn stew, a nice fresh fish... More

Very good food served in a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. We had a warm interior table on a cold and rainy day--great refuge. A charming place that stands out in its neighborhood.

Since this restaurant is in the touristy part of Sultanahmet, our expectations weren't pretty high because a lot of restaurants in that part serve the same food for the same prices. But this place has a very nice atmosphere with old brick walls and a fireplace on the ground floor which was also lit. In some turkish restaurants, we made... More

We have now had drinks twice at this restaurant, located very near to the blue mosque. They don't charge you extra for olives unlike the Sultan Bar nearby. The service is very good. We also had some soup and baklava (not at the same time!) and both were excellent. As it gets chilly at night they have heaters overhead which... More

There is much to like about this cafe. We had lunch and ordered mezze, pan fried cheese, and a stuffed chicken.mmall were excellent. Service was friendly and quick. Probably a good place for dinner as well as lunch. Cozy atmosphere.

We ate outside here and very much enjoyed our meal. It was almost the same menu as Mosaic just around the corner and I think they share a kitchen. Very good value and good sized portions. We rather preferred Mosaic but maybe that was just down to menu choice. Paid about 120 ytl for 2 mains, a bottle of wine,... More
