Tasty and filling

We had a nice meal at Rumeli, including the Hunters pastry, Stuffed chicken and Kebabs. The food was very good and as we were hungry we devoured it all. For appetizer we had a nice Turkish cheese plate. Service was good and friendly. The waiters practically run around the restaurant. Located near... read more

The restaurant is in a great spot and looks nice from the outside. We chose this for our last lunch in Istanbul before leaving for the airport as we'd walked past many times. The service was very slow and far from the friendly atmosphere we'd had else where in Sultanahmet. Food took about 40 minutes to arrive and the portions... More

This is our favorite spot in Istambul good food, good price and nice people, Ali took care of us recommending the best dishes for the day. We tried the meat cooked inside a jar and then they opened the jar in front of your eyes ....it is a show! if we go to Istambul again we will be back for... More

This's restaurant is in the old town surrounded by many others. I think it is definitely one of the better ones ! As the food was very good and the service was great. I would go again.

The waitress botched up our order, got us things we never asked for, and served my husband beef instead of the chicken dish we had ordered! After notifying them about it, they took it away, and made us wait for 45 mins to replace it! No apologies for the wrong order or the wait. horrible experience.

We loved this place that was next to our hotel. Lovely log fire to warm up with (we had lots of snow!) and left to enjoy good Turkish wine and my kindle until we wanted food- which was reasonably prices and tasty. Waiter very nice- and not pushy! Had a few very decent conversations with him about travel. Perfect little... More

Were staying in hotel just along from here so when I saw reviews seemed ideal to go here. Was okay but not as good as others we visited. Food nice but nothing special and although service good not just quite as friendly. Quite small inside and just looking a bit tired.

I had much the same impression of this place as other reviewers did. It is very nice, quite calm even though it is right off the main street in the most touristic part of the Old City. The menu is pretty standard...in fact practically every mid-priced restaurant in Istanbul seems to have the same menu! I had a very nice... More

Although this restaurant is very close to the main tourist sites in Istanbul, it is not a place of tourist food and hustlers. We had a most pleasant lunch here. It is quiet, cosy venue; on a chilly Feb. day they had a log fire in the main dining area. We ordered a delicious prawn stew, a nice fresh fish... More
