Just thinking about this place makes me hungry like the wolf - HA! Tea's great and so are the pastries so don't be too picky - just get 3 of everything. I will miss you Pagoda Tea room.

This was a good lunch time venue close to the Dutch Hospital. The veg plate was excellent value at 180 rps, was well presented and tasty if a little salty. If you are true veg note it came with small dried fish eg anchovy like. Service was prompt and the restaurant was frequented by SL business people, a good sign.... More

Just a little walked across from the expensive Dutch Hospital and into this old and love place. Local dishes, cakes and pastries. All are value for money. The only disappointment is that it can be very humid/hot during the afternoon as there is no A/C. Will visit again.

Put this one on the list for a tea stop after checking out the unbelievable, though now rather untended colonial architecture of the fort area. After wandering around in the hot sun looking at these rather beautiful relics we retreated to the Pagoda Tea Room - another rather beautiful relic - FULL of ambience and a perfect end to a... More

If you are an eighties music person, it's the best reason to go here. It is where Duran Duran filmed part of their 'Hungry Like the Wolf' video and it is still identifiable. If you have already visited the beautiful tea shop on the other side of the road, then you will be disappointed. This is a worn-out old dame... More

The restaurant which serves the best cheesiness roll in town with a Sri Lankan tea. Great value and don't miss to visit if you are in the city.

The best soft pastries and cakes are found in this no nonsense restaurant. They are hardly trying to attract a clientel by other means than good food. Service is average and is at their leisurely pace. There is hardly sitting space during some times of the day.The food and the cakes are what people come for and have been coming for... More
