A nice restaurant with a roof terrace overlooking the Choijin Kama museum. We had lunch here - an excellent salad which wouldn't have been out of place in a good London restaurant.

Went here to celebrate a friends birthday, so we went all the way with food and drinks. The atmosphere is nice, the food was good (as in nice presentation and decent flavours, but not something I will remember in a week) and the waitresses very professional. However, the dishes came out in an enormous speed. A friend went out to... More

Decent Italian-Mediterranean food; salads were small, as was portion of pasta. Good wine list and nice quiet atmosphere in a quiet location away from the scrum that is UB. A bit pricey but that's what you pay for the scene there. Lots of "hipster" Mongolian girls and guys at some tables; probably busy on a weekend night. Reservations essential.

We arrived at 3pm and left at 10:30pm (I think!), this was our second visit to Veranda, found the service great as well as the portion sizes (we have decent appetites too). Would highly recommend this establishment, great menu and good wine list.

City centre eatery off the beaten track, a hidden enjoyable find. Extensive, interesting menu, beautifully cooked, presented and served by unobtrusive attentive waiting staff. A pleasant change from multi-story, inside or roadside dining. Enjoy veranda eating or cosy sofas inside for inclement weather. The meal was as it said it was on the menu. International clientele. A thoroughly enjoyable, not... More

Good mix of Mongolian flavour with French wine. Good view of an adjoining temple from the first floor balcony.

This is place has agreat atmosphere and menu (Italian). I had a risotto and a cold beer. Others had steak, duck and pasta. All enjoyed the meal. Reasonably priced too.

Cozy interior, wide choice of food (from European to Asian) and a very impressive wine cellar. Avoid seats near the open kitchen though (greasy and noisy). Mostly expat clientele, or ladies in waiting (for an expat husband).

This place is above Silk Road--you go through an inside door and up a staircase not visible from the street. Good view over Choijin Temple right in the centre of UB. Too cold for the actual veranda terrace in early May, but a warm cosy Italian style restaurant with reasonable prices and very good service. Not gourmet, but better than... More
