City centre eatery off the beaten track, a hidden enjoyable find. Extensive, interesting menu, beautifully cooked, presented and served by unobtrusive attentive waiting staff. A pleasant change from multi-story, inside or roadside dining. Enjoy veranda eating or cosy sofas inside for inclement weather. The meal was as it said it was on the menu. International clientele. A thoroughly enjoyable, not... More

Good mix of Mongolian flavour with French wine. Good view of an adjoining temple from the first floor balcony.

This is place has agreat atmosphere and menu (Italian). I had a risotto and a cold beer. Others had steak, duck and pasta. All enjoyed the meal. Reasonably priced too.

Cozy interior, wide choice of food (from European to Asian) and a very impressive wine cellar. Avoid seats near the open kitchen though (greasy and noisy). Mostly expat clientele, or ladies in waiting (for an expat husband).

This place is above Silk Road--you go through an inside door and up a staircase not visible from the street. Good view over Choijin Temple right in the centre of UB. Too cold for the actual veranda terrace in early May, but a warm cosy Italian style restaurant with reasonable prices and very good service. Not gourmet, but better than... More

Best place we ate in five days in UB. Returned for our last night. Very atmospheric & (surprise) there is a great big veranda where you can watch thw world go by. Great in Summer. Feels classy. The menu is interesting & the food excellent. We didn't book either time, but I'm sure it's advisable. Didn't get on the veranda... More

I've been coming here sporadically every year or two. The food, decor, service, and bathrooms (!) get better with every visit. Three of us had a great dinner last night: fabulous guacamole, grilled prawns on bruschetta with aioli, mini tacos, grilled salmon, pasta with grilled vegetables and (slightly less good) ice cream for dessert. If you want to relax over... More

Overall a nice experience at Veranda, but seems a little pricey for what you get compared to other places in UB. Salads are teeny tiny, and pizza was fine, but nothing to write home about.

Very good place in the city center. I found it randomly by walking in the street, was a good try ! The service was excellent. Thank you all. Good price on the drinks too.

Very attractive restaurant and great service but bland food. We had risotto & seafood pasta, both small portions and needed seasoning. The panini (yes, I had to eat two meals to fill up) was not a baguette as described but two slices of bread, again no taste. Good wine selection, maybe we have eaten the meat - it looked tasty.
