Delicious Japanese food from a cool female owner

This place was cute and I had delicious tempura and some other tasty vegetarian items. The female owner stopped by to talk a little about her background and training (and help under order in English!) she was so friendly and kind and has set up a great restaurant in UB.

I had a couple of friends visiting and we ended up at Sakura Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant, located in the Kempinski Hotel. We sat at the Teppanyaki bar, and ordered a mix of seafood and beef. It was absolute fantastic. Other than being cooked in front of you the scallops and prawns were succulent and the beef melted in your mouth.... More

The Sakura is a well established Japanese restaurant on the second floor of the Kempinski Khan Palace Hotel. The food is always very good and the service very friendly and responsive.

The restaurant is on the second floor of the Kempinski hotel. But it is a very good Japanese restaurant (not just a hotel restaurant as a backup).

We had a very good meal at Sakura. The atmosphere is quiet and tranquil, despite being in a huge city. Each of us ordered something different, and each of us was pleased with his/her selection. Prices seemed fair for the items we ordered, and service was very good. We had a large group and enjoyed ourselves.

Nice place with pleasant service. But the food is just average for what you pay. There are other places that you can try for the same prices.

I love the Sunday brunch. Fresh milk for starters! I haven't found proper milk in Mongolia since I moved here. Generally a nice selection of food and fresh juices.

Second time I have been and was very disappointed with the food, wine and service. We waited close to an hour and a half for our food and when it came it was stone cold. The prices are quite high for Mongolia and this made the standard of food even more disappointing. The steak was quite tough, the scallops under... More
