We decided on Cafe Amsterdam after a grueling 4+ hours of milling around gift hunting at the State Department Store close by. Wasn't very hungry so food wasn't on our minds. We really wanted cold draught beers and they didn't disappoint. The service was pretty good and friendly. The outdoor patio... read more

Nice place to crash on the terrace after a day in the city or after some weeks in the country side! Although its's a place were you will find a lot of other tourists, it's one of the best places in down town UB. Loved the terrace!

Cafe Amsterdam is a great place for breakfast or a tea/coffee. They do a full English breakfast which is really nice and others raved about the ability to get a good cup of coffee. It's a popular place with tourists.

We found this place as part of a tour service and the food served was appallingly sad and soggy. Coffee is equally as bad. Only thing I can say positive about this place is the location, but even then I will never go back to over pay for horrible service.

If they could understand some english, it would be a nice place to have breakfast, if you have plenty of time (service is unbelievable slow).

We visited Amsterdam cafe for breakfast as well as for an afternoon coffee. It was a good experience. The sandwiches and coffee were good. The service was a bit slow, but we were not in a rush so did not mind. It is located right on Peace Avenue, so it is perfect to take break and plan things before you... More

My last and final experience there was by far the worst. Terrible food at ridiculous prices with a staff that's clearly unhappy and an atmosphere that feels like a parody of a European hostel. People go there because they don't know any better, which is unfortunate. It's lovely that they have the outdoor seating that they do, it's great for... More

There are not much choices in their menu. It is the best place to relax, have a review on your trip plan and enjoy the internet. If you need to send some postcard just hand it over to them (with stamps). A friendly staffs too.

I am British, living in UB for 3 years now. This used to be a great place, but its standards have slipped because it has good reviews. Management is slapdash - and sometimes abusive to western clients, There was at least one documented instance of antisemtic abuse by the manager or owner (not sure which.) Staff do their best and... Gave us a sense of home on another continent, and that's about it.... The coffee was fantastic and to our liking, the rest of our breakfast order verging average. HOWEVER - the servers were trying hard to accommodate the expat taste and communicate in a foreign language, which in our books calls for extra points.... Will definitely return if given... More
