My last and final experience there was by far the worst. Terrible food at ridiculous prices with a staff that's clearly unhappy and an atmosphere that feels like a parody of a European hostel. People go there because they don't know any better, which is unfortunate. It's lovely that they have the outdoor seating that they do, it's great for... More

There are not much choices in their menu. It is the best place to relax, have a review on your trip plan and enjoy the internet. If you need to send some postcard just hand it over to them (with stamps). A friendly staffs too.

I am British, living in UB for 3 years now. This used to be a great place, but its standards have slipped because it has good reviews. Management is slapdash - and sometimes abusive to western clients, There was at least one documented instance of antisemtic abuse by the manager or owner (not sure which.) Staff do their best and... Gave us a sense of home on another continent, and that's about it.... The coffee was fantastic and to our liking, the rest of our breakfast order verging average. HOWEVER - the servers were trying hard to accommodate the expat taste and communicate in a foreign language, which in our books calls for extra points.... Will definitely return if given... More

Nothing against Cafe Amsterdam but for the prices they charge, they could offer better services and food. The coffee is not too bad but the food is average at best. In the summer, it is frequented by loud tourists.

I just came by here twice for the coffee. Coffee was great, I saw the food but really did not eat anything here. So the review is just for the coffee. It was a pit stop before going and seeing the sights in the morning.

I think this is one of place that once it's good, but not maintaining to keep up. There are other places, that I would go for a snack and good coffee.

The couple of times I went to the Cafe Amsterdam I left disappointed. The coffee is fine, but the food is not great. And the cafe seems to attract loud-mouthed US teenagers who feel obliged to "like, like, like" share their moronic views on the world with anyone within earshot. There are far better places in UB to grab a... More

I really like the cultural events the restaurant hosts. The food is not great. The last time I ate there I got really sick withing just 20 minutes after lunch.

Nice to be able to report that you can actually get a real CUP OF EUROPEAN STYLE (strong) coffee in this have of tea drinkers. Great coffee, actually had several and raced" thru the day. Nice croissants and pasties help to further promote this caffeinated paradise. Nearby the "central Store" for all department store items and souvenirs. Nice terrace overlooking... More
