Good Lao menu

I had dinner here and had the curry chicken on the Lao menu with sticky rice and it was delicious and really affordable. The service was also good. I did not try the Tex Mex but the pictures on the menu made the food look delicious.

Very friendly wait staff and new owner Glen is very nice and helpful. However the food is a bit disappointing. We ordered "queso and chips" (exactly as listed on the menu) as a starter and when salsa was brought out instead, we nicely asked Glen if we could get queso and not salsa. He looked at us and said "well... More

For us expats this place is great. For travelers it could be hard to find. The new owner, Glen, makes a very good chilli con carne, great with Mexican rice. Been through the menu and it is ALL good food. The service is quite slow so call before if getting a take away.

I am an expat from California living in Vientiane and eat here often. I don't compare it to Menican food from California or Mexico. For Vientiane it's great. Just Good food.

The only place for Mexican food in Vientiane! Most of the dishes are excellent, some of the bigger ones (UFO for example, Unidentified Fried Object), try to throw too many different things into the one dish - read the menu carefully. I adore their sweet potato fries, excellent burritos and enchilidas. Friendly and attentive staff. Only issue is that there... More

I went there last night to try as I found out that they had vegetarian version of their dishes. I do not regret it at all, we had giant burritos and tacos. It was delicious, especially the giant vegetarian burritos and its sauce !! The staff was nice, the place refers perfectly to its name "cantina", and the menu has... More

this place is as close to real Tex-mex food as you going to find in Lao. Staff is great. restaurant is clean and well organized. Food is close to authentic, but it is more like they are following a cook book than actually working from a real experience with tex-mex.

It was my first time tasting Mexican food that had the right ingredients and taste. Food presentation, ambience and presence of staff was great.

When your tummy tells your mind: "Please give no more thai and lao food!" - This is the place to go! As a longtime customer of Ban Gai, here are my favourite dishes: Enchilada, Quesadilla, sizzling Fajitas and of course the famous UFO! You can also call for takeaway. See you soon ;)
