Mostly really good food - the breakfast hash is great and they'll do it vegetarian if you like; French toast sickly sweet and not recommended; lunchtime wraps tasty. Chai tea latte delicious. Friendly staff. A little over priced but only just. Can be unbearably noisy if there are kids in there, especially down the back - love kids but the... More

This lovely little restaurant is a place that caters to ex-pats. The food is very good, We had many things, the burritos, taco salad, cheesecakes, cookies, juices, ice creams and others. The cheesecakes are delicious! Probably one of the best cheesecake I have ever had. The cupcakes were also good as were the cookies. The mango passion juice was a... More

I think this café is THE ex-pat place to go in Vientiane, and you can tell why! The food is delicious, filling and experimental. The cakes and cookies are so tasty, and for $11 my boyfriend and I had 2 large meals (burritos, salad and a drink) and a cookie. I did have to wait about 20 minutes for my... More

Common Grounds is fantastic! I was in Vientiane for a week with my wife and we ate at Common Grounds several times. From the food to the staff, the whole experience was great. After spending time in the hot sun, it is great to walk into a clean and cool air conditioned cafe for a bite to eat. You are... More

Love that they had gluten-free written right on the menu! You feel a sense of modern and clean right when you walk in. Great food, great ambience, can't say enough great things about it!!

Fantastic place with fresh and plentiful food. I'm a vegetarian, many options here. Kids loved the play place. We will return.

We stopped in for lunch and while the service was slow, the food was deccent. I had the eggplant wrap which was tasty and my partner the Quesadilla with cheese. For a quick lunch I can recommend Common Grounds.

I love Common Grounds! Food is good, got some vegetarian options. My favorite are the ice cream storms. They make their own peanut butter, which can be purchased to take home. Decor is simple, yet beautiful, there is free wi fi, a playground for the children and outdoor sitting area.

Fantastic food, drink and environment. Super clean and they have an awesome playground for kids. The friendly staff really sets Common Grounds apart. Not sure why this cafe is not more popular!

For our one week stay in Vientiane we made use of Common Grounds every day (except Sundays when they are closed), and for good reason. For the traveller to Laos it is a friendly, comfortable, clean, safe, quiet and attractive place to relax, unwind in a cool setting, have good conversation, or connect with others, all while enjoying an excellent...
