The ambiance of the place is quite nice. It's decor is plain but enjoyable. The coffee is amazing and the pastry is delicious. I had the ice coffee and milk with the peach danish and the banana pastry. The only downpart is that there is no WiFi and the furniture could be a little better.

I went there to pick up two baguettes at 7am for a take-away breakfast one morning and went back the next day with the family for brunch. The baguettes were that good. Slightly sour, long fermentation baguettes (I think). Great crust, soft interior. They came with lovely ham, some pickles and a side salad with an excellent home made salad... More

the bakery products at this cafe are great, but the service is almost non-existent. The staff stood around looking at their mobile devices or serving themselves ice cream and then gave a sigh when asked by a customer to take an order. I had to ask for cutlery, condiments and a plate. Each request was met with a sign and... More

The croissants ( the regular as well as the all butter) and pain au chocolat are some of the best pastries I have had anywhere. Go early when they are at their peak and you will not be disappointed. Best pastries in Vientiane. I have probably grown an inch in my waist but arguably worth it!!! Even if you pay... More

Le Banneton is a really nice restaurant with nice bread etc. We took the aubergine- tomato salsa bread which was really good, but the salad they served with it swom in the ( to sour) dressing! Please serve the dressing aside! The grilled aubergine was swimming in oil, again a shame since this can be a beautiful plate! They could... More

The best bread and baked goods in town....the baguettes are to die for, so crucnchy and so fresh. All the pastries are some of the best I've ever had. And the prices are pretty good, too. I reccommend the breakfast set, 2 eggs, bacon, bread of your choice and a coffee for I think 40,000lak only...a great way to while... More

I love to find a cafe with quiet background music, clean environment, good coffee, exquisite croissants and a good atmosphere> Le Banneton has it all.

I come here for the iced coffee, chocolate croissants and Panini sandwiches. You get more food for your money here than compared to other cafes like Joma.

Extensive menu with sandwiches, salads and other French-based snacks. Lovely breads, nice cakes, friendly warm atmosphere and worth visiting for a snack or a nice lunch.

Had very good croissants and coffee at this bakery. Full on a Sunday, popular with expats and locals. Good selection of pastries and desserts. Highly recommended.
