My hotel staff recommends me to visit here if I want to try Lao food. This place is very neat, clean, modern design local restaurant. Not only tables but the bathroom is also very clean and cozy enough!! The food is very good to enjoy with a local spice and the staffs are also very nice and kind. The price... More

Super cheap, and can get crowded - but the food here is great and the staff are friendly. The Laap, sausage and riverweed are all fantastic. Upstairs is airconditioned, but doesn't have the same atmosphere as downstairs near the street.

The stir fried vegetables are superb. The seating outside gives a more relaxed ambience though the inside is cosy enough. No wifi though

This is possibly THE best place to sample Lao Cuisine at its best. Almost always full for lunch. Good location and most humane prices.

We had a nice time at Laos Kitchen, the service was great, the food was great, we over-ordered as usual ;-) Definitely worth a visit.

Only found this place on my last day :(. Had the fish laab, pork red curry and mixed veg. Really tasty! You must visit here when in Vientaine. Only about 6 -8 tables and fairly small premises.

Lao Kitchen serves great Lao food, suitable for foreigners, but keeping it tasty. Perfect for those who are interested in Lao cuisine, but not used to it yet. Prices are very fair.

Got the last table available in the place. Wait staff acted as though we were inconveniencing them with our patronage. Cold rolls were good, crying tiger salad and laab was yum. Overpriced for what it was. Average overall experience.

I've been to Lao kitchen many times during my temporary 10-month posting in Vientiane in 2014. If you would like to try some local Lao food but minus the extreme spiciness (in most cases when eating in Lao restaurants frequented by the locals), Lao Kitchen is probably a good choice. The waitresses can understand English and the orders are usually... More

Below, I've copied an email that I sent to the restaurant (no response yet after six days). In short, we have been traveling in Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Laos for nine weeks now, eating in a wide range of establishments, and this was handily one of our worst meals. We have eaten Lao food both here and in the U.S.... More
