Arriving in Vientiane to start our tour of Lao, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand this was our first evening meal. The food was excellent , especially the fish cooked in leaf and vegetarian spring rolls. As complete novices to Lao food we enjoyed an amazing choice of dishes all freshly prepared and accompanied by local beer !! Well recommended. Amphone is... More

This is the best Lao food I had in Vientiane It was very quiet that evening with very few customers but the atmosphere in the courtyard was nice. The laap, curries and mok paa (fish cooked in leaf) were delicious, with subtle flavours. The selection of wines was pretty good and the staff was nice. When in Vientiane, i will... More

I had sin savanh and yor jeun. Tasted good. I think there was something lost in translation because I also ordered sticky rice and jeow mak Len but they didn't show up. I would go again.

Rating is only a representation of the fact we only had a very small portion of the menu. Went in for a light dinner and bought 2 appetisers which were generously portioned! Would love to try the menu more in depth if we had the time.

We dropped in because of a heavy rainshower, and the place was a bit over our backpacker budget, but we did take the 80 000 kip menus which were exquisite. Good choice of restaurant if you want to treat yourself to good and authentic Lao food.

Considering Luke Nguyen supposedly cooked here, we were disappointed. The food was lovely but certainly not outstanding in any way. Service was excellent but there is something very bland and quite cold (although tasteful decor) about the atmosphere. it is also overpriced when compared to other restaurants of better quality in town.

While living in Vientiane I ate here quite a few times and was never disappointed. Good wine list I recall, if you need a break from the local beer. Bit pricey, but one of the best restaurants in Vientiane I think.

Welcoming reception, english menu. Nice presentation of Food, tasted great. For locals propably more on the expensive side, but for travellers and Business People visiting still a bargain. Outside Terrace is clean and perfect for candellight dinners as well as Business.

Would recommend the spicy steamed vege and Mekong fish. Waiters don't speak much English but the menu us easy to order from.

This restaurant hidden in a side street was recommended by our tour guide. It was a quiet night and we were served promptly. It was a bit steamy outside so we moved inside to eat - a delightful old-style but renovated Laos architectural house, though the lighting was more suitable for a romantic dinner rather than a family meal.
