Would recommend the spicy steamed vege and Mekong fish. Waiters don't speak much English but the menu us easy to order from.

This restaurant hidden in a side street was recommended by our tour guide. It was a quiet night and we were served promptly. It was a bit steamy outside so we moved inside to eat - a delightful old-style but renovated Laos architectural house, though the lighting was more suitable for a romantic dinner rather than a family meal. The... More

I would come back here without hesitation. The food is excellent, with a wide array of local food at very good prices. The beer (as with everywhere) is cheap and we were welcomed and served very well despite the fact we were the only ones in the restaurant, as we hadn't realised that the locals ate much later. If you... More

Delightful and authentic Lao cuisine. I would be happy returning here again and again. A good range of choices and reasonable prices.

We were strolling the area, too early for dinner, but stopped by and made a booking for my husband and me for dinner. When we arrived, we were shown to a table in the corner of the outside deck, nice enough, but as the evening went on, easily overlooked. We ordered traditional Lao foods, which came well enough prepared, but... More

My profession is to critic - it does not matter how good the place is - i will always find some mistake or something to write about - however, with this restaurant i felt different - i felt the hart and soul and the sperit of the person who created it ! Food is food and especially " what is... More

Now this is actually one of the very best restaurants in town. I visit it each time I come to Vientiane. The lower rating in this list is surely based on the fact that no-one finds it by just strolling aimlessly as a tourist. But do not fret, it is located close to town centre; just aim for Jazzy Brick... More

We persevered until we located this restaurant. It's quite central, but just off the main strip. We shared an entree of spring rolls, and the mains were a chicken curry and fried fish...sorry I can't recall the exact titles from the menu. The dishes were lovely, and felt like they were a great representation of Lao cuisine. The service was... More

We must have been lucky. We arrived on a Monday evening and had the dining room to ourselves. We enjoyed a quiet, relaxing meal, the perfect ending to a hectic day. The citronella fish was very special, something that I hadn't had before and truly enjoyed it. We had excellent service.

Although very "touristy" their food is about as close to authentic as you will get in a restaurant that is not a local market. The service was great, they have a wide selection and well, worth trying
