I came across Quealy's while walking down 172 st, it's small place but with a big heart, the place is intimate but that is the charm, the owner was very friendly, as well were the staff. The food is either a very nice burger or a bratwurst sausage cooked on a barbecue. The beers and spirits are very reasonably price,... More

But the limited food selection is excellent to go with your drinks. What this place lacks in food options, it makes up for in Atmosphere. The friendly proprietor and bar staff + the amusing regulars make it a mainstay if I am heading to the riverside area.

A tiny little bar tucked away back from the riverside. It's recently been taken over by a sociable lady from the UK, so may change its name soon (possibly Duck n Cover?), but is known to have its clutch of regulars. They don't have a menu as such, really serving only hamburgers and German sausages, but these imported meats are... More

I went into Quealy's after reading that they did a pretty good hamburger. I had a couple of beers, and ordered my food. They were out of hot dogs, only had burgers (otherwise I'd have ordered one of each). They didn't have mayonnaise. I ordered french fries and they had them brought in from somewhere else. They were hand cut... More

Recently visited Phnom Penh for 4 days, then after a week away, visited for another 4 days. I had heard about this bar before arriving to Cambodia. The owner Peadar is an absolute gentleman. I was travelling alone and was made feel very welcome. I met a very interesting mix of locals and expats, naturally enjoying the cold beer and... More

A very limited menu - but what they have - they do well. Hot dogs/ sausages and burgers. Cheap draft beer and a great selection of whiskey. Has a regular crowd. No annoying pop music crap. Good craic as the Irish say.

I stumbled in to Quealy's nearly by accident one night and was glad I did. Congenial owner and some good guys to share a few drinks with who did not mind talking to someone just passing through.

Stumbled in here on a few occasions. Nice, friendly atmosphere and great drinks selection. Haven't eaten here so cannot make coment on the food. One of the few bars along 172 that stays open late, not too rowdy though. A little confused as to why there is a photo of Paddy Rice Bar up above though? For those who haven't... More

A refreshing break from the normal Phnom Penh bars, Quealys is Irish owned and run by a true gentleman. The beer is cold, the pricing structure far better than Riverside and the burgers/sausages from the grill are delicious. You'll also get some varied and interesting banter at the bar.
