Great food

The whole experience of the sugar Palm from the moment we got to the entrance was good. The restaurant has a nice spaced out seating arrangement so you don't feel like your being sat on like some restaurants. The food was above average and the staff very friendly not a bad word to be said about... read more

I ate here on my first visit to PP in 2010. Had a delicious salad for lunch. My waiter was a university student who was eager to practice English. I was the only customer for a while and he proceded to tell me the history of the Khmer Rouge. Quite an experience. The restaurant is much more upscale and renovated... More

The service was friendly with excellent food to match a charming atmosphere. The restaurant is set in a colonial style building very relaxed and peaceful. I was recommended to try the Cambodian cuisine and choose the sweet and sour fish soup, amok fish with grilled eggplant and pork. The food did not disappoint either. Had a great time and left... Satay skewers; pomelo salad; fish amok; chicken with basil... It was all simply outstanding... Described in an online review as: best of traditional Khmer cooking with contemporary fusion styles... I'd say that was spot on. Beautiful, relaxed setting. Ideal for friends and families.

In its new location, Sugar Palm has essentially the same menu as before and the same quality food and service, too. This is the first place I come to eat in PP for the past 10 years. It's not fancy, and it's a bit pricey, but it is away from the riverfront and the crowds, which I prefer. It won't... More

Just returned from my dinner at The Sugar Palm, I was welcomed by the owner with whom I had a nice chat and learnt alot about Phnom Penh (as I spend most my time with Siem Reap working). The food was sensational, Morning Glory with Pork Mince and one of the best Oyster sauces I have had. Although its hard... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here and the atmosphere was great. The spring rolls were the best we had in Phnom Penh! The location is a little out of the way but definitely worth it.

The restaurant was recommended by the hotel. It is in a quieter part of the city with modern decor. The food was excellent with quality ingredients and just the right amount of spices. Great service accompanied our first cambodian meal. Thoroughly recommended

Our hotel directed us to the Sugar Palm. We were not disappointed. It is not in the middle of the heavy traveled tourist area (Pub Street). It is set off the main road behind the Park Hyatt. The dining room is on the second level and in an open air environment. We started with a couple of local beers (Kingdom),... More

Upstairs tables overlooking the street are a great place for a beer and a bite of very good food. Sugar Palm is in the heart of the action on a street filled with shops on the "upscale" side, but not offensively so. You can be confident in the cleanliness of the place and food safety here, and it's walking distance... More
