We just got back (Dec 30, 2014) from The Sugar Palm at 19 Street 240 and they're no longer at that location. There's a paper sign hanging out front saying "Opening Soon at 178 St." Their web site hasn't been updated to reflect the move - they really should get on that. Nicely decorated and outside the crazy busy center of Phnom Penh, yet close enough. Good choice of tasty Khmer dishes, fast and polite staff. The place is comfortable for a single female traveler.

We had dinner there on a Monday because it was close to the hotel and based on word of mouth. The spring roll starter was nice. The dipping sauce was a little sweet for my taste, but this is authentically Khmer. We had just spent almost a week in Kep/Kampot where we adored the local Kampot pepper squid. Feeling nostalgic,... Each time i come to Phnom Penh, i have a dinner or a lunch in Sugar Palm. Garlic fish and Amok fish are amazing. Staff is efficient. For those who want to taste a very good cambodian food.

Having tried the Sugar Palm at Siem Reap after rave reviews seen on Trip Advisor, we were greatly disappointed when we tried the branch at Phnom Penh. The menu was exactly the same, but the execution of the food was far from similar. The chef at Siem Reap got it just right and left us wanting for more, hence we... More

Food average. Relaxed casual place. Seating not comfortable. Staff very friendly. Toilet rather disgusting. Has free wifi that actually works.

This is an excellent, reasonably priced comfortable establishment with excellent food and staff and I visit it every 3 months or so when in PP. But why is it always almost empty? And why is it rated so low? It is superior to most of the top rated ones and certainly cheaper.

We went to Sugar Palm for lunch and loved the food. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere (we sat on the balcony upstairs) and the service was prompt and helpful.
