FCC Phnom Penh Restaurant and Bar - Casual open-air dining on the MekongWith a passion for fusion cuisine, FCC group chef has created the FCC menu, introducing generous flourishes of traditional Khmer flavors spiked with funky French influences. While the menu is still built on FCC main-stays such as beer-battered fish and chips, deli-fresh sandwhiches, and wood-fired pizzas, the heart of the menu remains a finely crafted blend of Asian, Mediterranean and Western-influenced flavours. The BarThe "F", as those know to frequent the big horseshoe bar call it, has served stiff drinks, camaraderie and comfort to a storied cast of journalists and diplomats, movie stars and intrepid travellers since 1993.Back then, when The "F" first opened its doors, the bar gave shelter from the gritty and tense streets of the capital, where an uneasy peace was just taking hold. Writers and their sources traded secrets in the shadows. Diplomats drank their per diems, swapped social strategies and spilled their martinis.Today, the bar still serves a stiff extra-dry, and the journos still pass through on the great hunt. The tension is gone. But there's still plenty of action, and the liquor, on occasion, still gets spilled.Open Daily 7:00 a.m. - MidnightHappy Hour 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Fun History, Average Food

We went to this restaurant more for the atmosphere than the food. The menu had a variety of choices for all cravings. We enjoyed a two for one happy hour.

Warning, we only ordered drinks so don't take my review into account if you're hungry. The bar had a great old timey feel. Best part is the people watching, both in the bar and out on the street. Stay for a few hours and you will end up talking with people from all over the world, sharing travel stories and... More

We went to the famous FCC for dinner. You climb up the steep stairs to the restaurants. The friendly staff showed us were to sit and the service was good. We had different food but we all where happy with taste and look. Different beers, drinks and non alcohol to chose between. A bit pricy but worth the visit.

Get here early evening to watch the sun go down from one of the balconies - very popular time to go and was busy when we went. It's not the cheapest but we spent a great couple of hours here watching the world go by in a laid back atmosphere. Quite an oasis from the bustle of the riverfront as... More

We stopped here mainly so we could eat/drink with a view of the river. It was pretty crowded so we sat at the bar seats where you overlook the riverside. The food was pretty good, we had the spring rolls and the beef and chicken satay. Cocktails were also pretty good. The only downside was while we were eating, there... More

Thanks for the kind words. Apologies about the local life bothering you, but as an open air restaurant we truly can't do everything about that. We like to think the wildlife of Cambodia adds to the experience. Thank you again for dining with us, we hope to see you again. Regards, FCC More

The FCC is a gorgeous and iconic building and is well worth a visit. It has a classy interior and a balcony overlooking the riverfront. The food and drinks are good and the service friendly and efficient.

This restaurant has only it's old reputation, nothing more. Stuff was slowly and they didn't have service feeling art all. If you want to have nice dinner pick some another place. Yes, they have good location and nice view. I can think it's ok to take some kind of drinks.

Thank your visiting and taking the time to provide your experience. I can't tell if you ate here or not, but I can say that service does slow down during busy periods due to the amount of people. We apologize if you felt it took too long. We are constantly training our staff to be more efficient. Sincerely, FCC More

Not the easiest of places to find. Up at the top of a double flight of stairs. Interesting annotated photographs on the walls related to the wars in the area. Reasonable choice on the menu, but quite expensive compared with other bars and restaurants in the area. Need to get there early if you want to sit next to the... More

The place is very pleasant overlooking the river. However the service can be better, the food was good but not the best of the trip and was definitely the most expensive. Unlike other places, the VAT and service are added on top, which isn't usual and as Europeans you really feel robbed.Go there for drinks at sunset and eat somewhere... More

Thank you for the constructive feedback. I'm glad you visited us and considered us iconic. I'm sorry if you felt cheated by the VAT and service charge. We make it very clear on all of our menus for this reason. The service charge goes to our staff, to include the kitchen and servers and barman. We feel they work very... More
