FCC Phnom Penh Restaurant and Bar - Casual open-air dining on the MekongWith a passion for fusion cuisine, FCC group chef has created the FCC menu, introducing generous flourishes of traditional Khmer flavors spiked with funky French influences. While the menu is still built on FCC main-stays such as beer-battered fish and chips, deli-fresh sandwhiches, and wood-fired pizzas, the heart of the menu remains a finely crafted blend of Asian, Mediterranean and Western-influenced flavours. The BarThe "F", as those know to frequent the big horseshoe bar call it, has served stiff drinks, camaraderie and comfort to a storied cast of journalists and diplomats, movie stars and intrepid travellers since 1993.Back then, when The "F" first opened its doors, the bar gave shelter from the gritty and tense streets of the capital, where an uneasy peace was just taking hold. Writers and their sources traded secrets in the shadows. Diplomats drank their per diems, swapped social strategies and spilled their martinis.Today, the bar still serves a stiff extra-dry, and the journos still pass through on the great hunt. The tension is gone. But there's still plenty of action, and the liquor, on occasion, still gets spilled.Open Daily 7:00 a.m. - MidnightHappy Hour 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Great view and food

The views of the river are great and perhaps whilst expensive by Cambodian standards, the food was really good. Wide selection of western and Khmer dishes

We sat on the second floor balcony over looking the riverside walk enjoying our meals with a variety of local and western dishes , like always we shared everything and this time all meals were delicious from a fresh salad to the thai green curry , service was good and all meals were served together not as when they were... We chose to stay here because of the history of the place, and as reviews were reasonable. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, but the decor is definitely in need of up-dating -very 'brown and beige' and faded-the lighting minimal, and the balcony overlooked the very busy Sisowath Quay Road with traffic noise 24 hours. The upstairs restaurant and... More

A rather unusual Hotel that has a good atmosphere. Bar and food were good and there is a nice pool table. Location is also excellent with views of the river and lots of nearby restaurants. Nice rooms and bathrooms that all have their own identity. Bathrooms have a few design flaws but everything worked OK. The eggs benedict were superb.

The food was at first not surprisinly tasteful; fish snapper in some undefined sauce. Tom soup ok as well as the curry. Personnel great. At $110 for three persons incl drinks not very cheap.

The Foreign Correspondents Club (FCC) Hotel and Restaurant occupies a restored colonial building along the bank of Tonle Sap River near its confluence with Mekong River. The restaurant, with a nice veranda, is located on the third floor. The dining area is rustic, open and airy which exudes a cosy tropical ambience. The veranda tables afford a beautiful view of... Large menu with many delicious options, great views of the Mekong, well decorated, fun staff and occasional live music. I take groups here all the time for work, and we love it every time.

I came by here for late lunch. Here is no Air-con but you would enjoy good wind from the river if the temperature is not too high. The open air area of this cafe restaurant is quite nice and you would imagine that so many journalists had worked here during war time. Old AD poster and wooden stairs, and high... More

Sure it's a good view but unless you've got money to burn don't go there. It's very overpriced for what you get and it'll hurt the wallet when you leave! The toilets aren't particularly clean either and service isn't what you'd expect for what you're paying! Suggest a couple of doors down the street either way as the view is... More

After 10 days of Asian food we'd had our fill of rice and noodles. FCC gave us the chance to have a night off from the local fayre whilst still enjoying the stunning view across the Tonle Sap river. Can strongly recommend the seafood pizza as a star buy. Some of the group went for the steak sandwich, which apparently... More
