Van's is a great restaurant to visit for a fantastic breakfast before going to visit the city. Very child friendly offering colouring for the kids allowing you to enjoy the papers in peace whilst also offering a truly gastronomic experience.

I read some of the review that the steak was good, but I didn't experience that during my lunch. Perhaps dinner was cooked by a different chef, I am not sure. I ordered the business lunch, USD 20 for appetizer, main, dessert and coffee. It is value for money. I chose beef fillet for main, and wanted it medium. When... More

We found a nice classic restaurant in Phnom Penh recommended by my son's friend. It occupy a historical building and represent the old colonial time during French occupation. The food are excellent although it's a bit pricey however the meat and service quality are good.

This restaurant presents a good option beyond Asian food, obviously benefitting from the strong heritage of French food in the country. It is also set in a beautiful colonial building, somewhat of a break from the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh. The menu is traditionally French with some nice Asian twists, for example an interesting range of crime brulees.... More

it is mayhem in the city, nothing took our fancy and we are tiring of noodles and rice. Vans is fabulously quiet with a good choice of reasonably priced food, although that description is subjective. We had entrees, main course each, lamb shank and cod, one desert, two glasses of wine, two beers and a brandy ... $103 US My... More

Went to Van's with my wife for an upscale dinner in Phnom Pehn. We were not disappointed. The service was excellent. The food and wine were very good. The Staff didn't hover like they do in some Asian cities. An overall wonderful experience. I will go there again when I return to Asia.

I ordered the dinner menu while my husband ordered the degustation menu (which was $20 more). I must say the dinner menu was super worth it as it came with wine and tea and hearty portions of good food and wide selection. The more expensive degustation menu was disappointing. the portions were too meagre even by asian standards and the... More

If you're looking for a special night out and like French food this is the number one location in Phnom Penh. Set in a tastefully restored French era building (former bank) Van's has an excellent menu at affordable prices. Wine will make it more expensive but I often have the soup of the day (always a delight) and backed chicken... More

We liked this place a lot. Came back here three times in ten days. Nice, welcoming atmosphere, good french food, good value for money. Service is inconsistent. We've had great and bad service here in different days, but the overall atmosphere is so simple and easy, it didn't bother us much.

As a French top restaurants amateur by myself, I got quickly used to top quality cuisine and service. A dinner at Van's is an unique experience: atmosphere can't get any better as it is the building of the former colonial Banque d'Indochine headquarter, which was restored, it looks like it didn't move at all since this era. The dinner room... More
