Tepui at Chinese House offers a refined Asian cuisine and cocktails, with a South American touch. Gisela Salazar Golding, the Venezuelan head chef, creates dishes inspired by her own origins as well as years of culinary experience in Valencia (Spain), Paris, Shanghai and Phnom Penh. She now brings to Tepui an inspiring menu highlighting her love affair with South America and Asia. The Chinese House, a destination itself, was built in 1903 by Tan Bun Pa, a leading Chinese trader. Retaining its original combination of Chinese architecture and French colonial style, it is amongst the very few colonial houses in Phnom Penh that remains in its original state. The Chinese House was carefully restored in 2009 and now hosts a restaurant, bar, and gallery. Open Monday to Saturdays, 5pm onwards.

If I could only own this place!

Tepui at Chinese House? When we walked in, at first I was confused: was it a restaurant or an art gallery? It turned out to be both. We arrived there without reservations and were sorely disappointed to find the place full. I’d heard so much about the place and was disappointed. So after... read more

Good food, great atmosphere - fab art on the walls! Service very attentive and the bar downstairs is a great place to chill and meet friends.

Where do I start with Tepui? Eclectic, moody, cool, delicious, all come to mind. From the drinks, the appetizers, the main course, and the desserts; it was all wonderful.

Unpretentious, well priced and a taste sensation from starter to desert within an eclectic and welcoming dinning room.

We heard from friends, that Chinese House is a place to visit. So my wife and I went yesterday without a reservation. And yes we had no table at the dining room. So we where very happy that we could sit at the bar. Super friendly and funny staff. Greater knowledge about cocktails and the flair of the place reminded... More

The setting of the place makes you feel at home (I mean the comfort). Its very relaxing with big sofas and cushions. We tried many cocktails and dishes and everything had something different to offer. Delicious food and cocktails. it is a must go. our bill for two people was around 40$ which include 4 cocktails and I think 2-3... More

My sister and I chose to dine here on our last night after a wonderful holiday in Cambodia. It was advertised by our hotel, The Pavilion. When we arrived we decided not to have a drink in the downstairs bar but go straight upstairs to the restaurant. The bar was full of cigarette smoke. We headed upstairs. There was no... More

When my wife and I lived in PP, this was a fave venue. Great bar downstairs serving good cocktails and a relaxing vibe. A few years ago, the upstairs bar, which was fantastic, was taken out and replaced with a restaurant. The venue was a wonderful dining experience. Great food, wonderful ambiance and a real gem for those that lived... More

Really exciting food, a fusion of Cambodian and South American, starting with banana cannelloni stuffed with avocado, through to a mouth tingling chilli lime sorbet. In London or New York this would cost four times the price. Grab a bargain.
