Malis is a landmark restaurant that has long enjoyed a reputation for pushing the boundaries of fusion food with traditional, original and new age Cambodian cuisine. With capacious seating and four VIP rooms set in a courtyard around a fountain, it is undeniably the capital's premier gourmet dining experience. It didnt start very well ... First we tried to go to Malis in Sem Reap : Closed ! ... Then we tried to go in Malis in Phnom Penh with no reservation : fully booked ... Finally at our third try and having booked via our hotel, we could make it and were very happy to. Great place, Great... More

Absolutely worth a visit. At the time there were no other tourists but us at the restaurant, only locals, which in itself is a good grade. A definite recommendation above most of the other more widely publicized restaurants in the Lonely Planet.

My wife and I visited Malis in July last year, and again last night. The restaurant is built around a beautiful courtyard, the service is friendly yet very professional and unobtrusive, and the food was incredible! Khmer/French cuisine at its finest. I could continue to rave about this place, but instead will just say it is a MUST for food... More

Had dinner with my boyfriend, we both loved it and would highly recommend. Incredibly attentive service, without it feeling intrusive. Beautiful outdoor setting; we had a table right by the central water feature. Delicious food. A great treat when in Phnom Penh.

Malis is a beautiful place. There is a great atmosphere amongst the fountains of its courtyard setting. The service was impeccable and the menu extensive. We liked it so much that we went twice. Both meals were delicious.

Stopped in the other day for lunch and it was fabulous. The best thing about the fried rice is that it wasn't greasy, I hate fried rice that is too greasy that you can't even taste the chicken or vegetables in it. Also the soups looked really nice too! The service was good, very nice people who welcome you in... More

I went to Malis for the first time this week with three girlfriends. It's such a delightful ambience—an amazing peaceful place next to the frantic Norodom Bld. The food is tasty, well prepared and beautifully presented. We didn't have a reservation, but didn't have to wait for a table even though they were pretty busy. I'd recommend making a reservation... We heard about this place from a friend and thought we would give it a try and was certainly not disappointed. Is housed in a lovely fen shui building and we outside which was very pleasant and not noisy even though we were close to a road. The food was very good. We both had the fried Mekong river lobster...
