Yes, it is perhaps true that Malis is a little expensive (for Cambodian standards, not for European standards), it is a little over-hyped, staff can have a good day or a bad day etc etc. But the food is nice. Not exquisite, but still really nice. The interior, the setting is pleasant. And it is one of the places I... More

The interior of the restaurant was lovely. We started with an amuse bouche (small shot of soup), and the service was formal and attentive. To begin, we sampled the stuffed wings, which lacked flavor and had some bits of gristle, and the fried soft shell crab, which was tasty and accompanied by a pepper sauce. We then tried a stir-fried... More

If you are traveling to or through Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia I feel that you would not be disappointed at his restaurant, I live and work in SE Asia and I feel privileged to do so... I have seen a few poor reviews and wondering if this is the same place I have been visiting for the last 3... More

Lovely setting but food overpriced and poor. Not sure why it has such good reviews! I have eaten for less at Mitchilin Starred restaurants in London and San Sebastián and more to the point had better meals in Cambodia for a 10th of the price. They tried to over garnish the food rather than stick to traditional flavoursome recipes. The... More

This place was built up by many to be the 'pièce de résistance' in PP and I cannot disagree any more! We arrived in our Tuk Tuk (only way to travel in PP) and they have people to stop the traffic on the main road so that you can pull up infront of the restaurant, very posh but a little... More

My assistant searched for the best restaurant in Phnom Penh from the internet and Malis was one of choices. Malis is the one I choose. We book for business dinner and very surprised about all menus. All dishes have a very great taste. This meal is the best dining experienced for me. I will go to Malis again for sure.

We went to eat here on our last night in Cambodia. The atmosphere and decor is perfect and the food was perfect! The service was average - they tried to bring us completely wrong dishes, soup not curry and we can only presume it was for another table. We had two appetisers, two mains and three beers for $50.
